Terin POV
I watch as my twin walk out of the house as if it is normal and Chase follows behind. I never wanted her dead but I guess I didn't want her to out beat me like she always did. I'm thankful for what she has done, Dale was an asshole and he needed to die. I follow them as they make their way into the town centre and into a coffee shop. My phone ringing catches my attention and I slide it out my pocket.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Terin. Did you shoot Alcia?" I hear Patino ask on the other end. I freeze remembering how I shot her. "Well did you?" I hear question.
"Yes." I reply curtly.
"Thank you." He replies and hangs up. Sighing I remove the simple card from the phone and place the phone in a walker's by pocket. I go back to watching my twin that I don't notice the person behind me until he wraps his arms around my waist.
"Hey." He mumbles. Smiling I turn to face him and give him a light peck on the lips.
"You're getting better I didn't notice you." I tell him. He gives me an easy smile.
"Or you are just too focused." He looks over to my sister. "Why don't you just ask her. Instead of following her around?" He asks. I sigh and turn back.
"It's not that simple. She hates me." I tell him.
"Terin." He starts.
"Cole." I reply.
"Don't be a baby." He says seriously and I can't help but crack a small smile.
"You didn't think that last night." I mutter to him. He chuckles at my reply. We go back to watching the other two interact.
"Tell me something else about you that I haven't learned yet." Cole asks.
"What do you want to know?" I reply.
"How did you get into all-" He gestures his hand at my sister, "this?" He asks. I hesitate for a moment before making my way to the bench nearby, with him following.
"Our parents. They weren't assassins as such but more killers. Mum stopped when she had us, but dad couldn't. When we were ten dad had a target that was so hard no one said one man could do it and he wanted to prove them wrong. Mum tried to stop him but he said only he could do it. He never came back, and was found a month letter washed up on the shore of beach twenty miles from where his target was. Because mum and dad were so in love mum wanted revenge, and she got it but she died getting it. With both of our parents being killers our names meant something to people. None of our aunts or uncles wanted us so the assassin agency that we were in offered us a chance. I forced Eka into it and I regret it everyday. She was used a lot more than I was because she was a girl so she could do things men couldn't. Then they asked to do something she didn't want to do and so she left. When she left I was devistated, so I took a few years out only doing easy targets and not paying attention to the agency when Dale found a way to overtake it all and blackmail us. I don't know how and I don't why, but how did I'm sure it won't be long before someone else does." I tell him fiddling with my hands. Cole rests his own hand on my leg, and makes me look at him.
"None of it was your fault. It was how you were brought up." He tells me before leaning in to give me another kiss, this one lasting longer than the other and having a bit of tongue with it. When we break apart Cole has a big grin on his face and I'm sure mirroring him. I'll always be grateful that I didn't kill him. I look back over to the cafe and see they are still there.
"We are going to have to leave the country soon." I tell him.
"Why?" He asks sounding a bit upset. I turn to face him again,
"Because I can't stay here forever and I want you buy my side." I tell him. He smirks,
"Do I have a say in this?" He asks.
"No, because if you refuse I'll put you in a suitcase or tie you up." I tell him. His smirk widens and he leans in close,
"I thought that is was you like me doing." He says winking. I force my blush down and nudge him gently in the stomach.
"Not now." I tell him sternly. I see movement in the corner of my eye and notice Eka and Chase getting up. Her eyes latch onto mine, but she quickly turns away and mumbles something to Chase before taking out a pen and scribbling something down. Her eyes latch onto mine once more before she leaves. I look at Cole and grab his hand before heading to the cafe. On her napkin there is a message.
Kill number nineteen safe house - unregistered. Don't hurt her.
I turn to face Cole with a smile on my face.
"I know where my youngest sister is." I tell him. He looks at the napkin.
"Then let's go and find her." He tells me with a grin. I take the napkin and using the lighter in my pocket, set it on fire burning it so no one will wonder. Cole and I then leave hand in hand.
