Moving to New York so that Leah can go to her dream college is like a nightmare to Adrian. But he's willing to make it work for her. Packless, he agrees to lead a half wolf pack until Leah graduates. But when Leah doesn't want anything to do with being a wolf, he can't help feeling betrayed. Not only that, but she keeps coming back with another male's scent and he can't do a thing about it.
Adjusting to her werewolf status is much harder than Leah would have thought. Especially with the way her body keeps reacting to her new co-worker. Talking about it to Adrian without risking to send him on a killing spree is impossible. But his new pack is slowly leading him away from her.
Caught between two worlds trying to separate them, Leah and Adrian need to figure out who they can trust if they want to survive.

Although not yet fully able to control it, the strange magic on the alpha wolf population has started to allow him to transform into a human from time to time. But a visit among new humans in the small town of Moon Creek, Alaska will forever change Adrian's perspective of the human race.
