Chapter 37: Far Away

Jimin's (girl) POV

Today was the day I will be going to camp-keep. I woke up and got ready quickly. Jin was going to drive me and Kookie to school since I had a suitcase. Samuel came with us too since he usually walks with us. "Jimin, you be careful, okay, if you get hurt, I will sue your school. So be careful." Jin said. I nodded and got out of the car. Ha Ni was waiting at the gates for me. She had her suitcase as well. "Come on we have to go to class!" She said pulling me to the class. We got to class just on time and the teacher led us all out to the buses. Me and Ha Ni sat next to a boy who kept glancing over at us but didn't talk. "I'm Jimin, and this is Ha Ni." I said to the boy holding out my hand. The boy looked over and said, "I'm Ren Suzuki." He said shaking my hand. "Woah, cool name." Ha Ni said. "Ne, it's Japanese." He replied. I had never met any Japanese people before so it was cool. "Do you know Japanese?" Ha Ni asked. "No, sadly I don't, I was born in America and lived there til I was 10 and we moved here." "Oh, you know English? Me too!" I said happily. He nodded and then the bus driver said, "everyone quiet down we will be there soon." Everyone got quiet and soon we arrived. We all got out of the bus and the teachers started to split us up in our cabin groups. "Bye, Ren, I hope we can be good friends!" I said to Ren and walked over to Ha Ni. "You 2 will be sharing a bunk bed." The teacher said to me and Ha Ni. We wanted to be together anyways. We went in our cabin and I got the top bunk and Ha Ni got the bottom. We unpacked and met the other students outside. "Okay student's, groups of you will be assigned a counsler. The counselors are, Ms. Park, Ms. Yang, Mr. Kim and Mr. Lee." Everyone looked at Mr. Lee, who was a young and handsome man. "Now students calm down, Ha Ni, Jimin, ByungHo, Jang Mi, Soyoung, Minsu and Eunhee will all be with Mr. Lee." The teacher said. "Omo, Jimin, we get the cute counsler." Ha Ni said giggling. "Jimin, I hope this trip will make us closer." Jang Mi said with a smile. "Oh...um.sure." I said locking arms with Ha Ni. She smiled and walked over to her friends. The teachers sent us back to our cabins. It was a tad late so the sun was going down. We all sat around a camp fire and talked and ate s'more's. It was pretty fun already. "Hi, I'm Minsu." A unfamiliar boy said to me. "Jimin, uh, do I know you?" "No, I'm from a different school, but we have the same counselor, and I wanted to meet you." He smiled. "Well now we have met." I replied. "You know, Jimin, you are quite pretty." "Oh, jinjja?" "Ne, do you have a boyfriend?" "Oh, um, yes I do." "Damn, I wish you didn't, cuz I would totally fit that position." He said with a smirk. "Would you leave her alone, her boyfriend will be here tomorrow." Jang Mi said coming up behind me. The boy stood up and Jang Mi took his spot. "Thanks. He just wouldn't leave." I said. "No problem, I mean thats what friends are for, right?" She replied with a smile and I nodded. After a while we all had to go to bed. I was pretty tired and barely made it to my cabin. As soon as I got in bed I fell asleep.

The next day

I woke up and everyone was still sleeping. I looked outside and it was still dark. I just layed in bed until I heard someone whisper, "Jimin, are you awake?" I looked down to Ha Ni's bunk and it was her. "Ne, I am." I whispered back. "I can't sleep." She said. "I just woke up, what time do you.think it is?" "Mm...around 5 or 6." As soon as she said that there was a loud bell saying that its time for everyone to wake up. Everyone lazily got out of bed and got dressed. We all got outside and the sun was a beautiful orange color. "Jimin, isn't it pretty?" Jang Mi asked walking up from behind. "Oh, ne, it is so beautiful." I replied. "You know, your boyfriend will be here today." She said. "I know." "Are you excited to see him?" She asked but I just nodded. "Y'know, I didn't mean to get in between you and ByungHo." "I honestly don't care, I'm happy he's happy, were both happy and that's all that matters." I said. "Okay, so does that mean were cool?" She asked. "Yeah. Were cool." I said and she smiled. "Jimin, Sam will be here in an hour. I just found out." Ha Ni said. "Okay." I replied.

One hour later

We had just got back from a hike when the other kids arrived. At first I couldn't find Samuel but then I felt a pair of arms wrapping around me. I turned around to see Samuel. "Sammy! Your finally here!" I said. "Yes I am." He replied. I hugged him tight and pulled him over to Ha Ni. "Oh, Samuel, you're here." Ha Ni said. "Yeah, I just got here." He said. We spent the rest of the day doing fun stuff.

At night

We sat around the campfire and that Minsu guy came and sat next to me. I don't know where Samuel was. "Can I help you?" I asked. "You sure can. By being my girlfriend." He said putting his hand on my knee. "Ahem." Someone said from behind. We both turned around to see Samuel. "Who's this?" He asked. "I don't remember his name, but he keeps bothering me." I said. He stepped closer and looked straight in Minsu's eyes. "Why are you messing with MY girlfriend?" Minsu didn't answer. Samuel took him by the collar and noved him out of the way. "Don't talk to her, ever again." He said and sat next to me. He wrapped his arm around me and his face grew calm and sweet. "Are you okay?" He asked in English. "Yes, I'm fine. Thanks." I replied in English. He smiled and kissed my cheek. I smiled and started to roast my marshmallow. After a little while we all had to go to sleep. I was pretty tired so it was easy for me to go to sleep.
