"I'm not worth your protection"
...
It took Law some time to finish off with the guards, as his abilities are best suited for 1 v 1 combat. But he did it as soon as he possible could, so that there would be no interference when he 'has a nice chat' with Raikou.
He had yet to find the room in which the other two were, but he followed his instinct, ignoring thousands of doors and side passages and ended up in front of a majestic looking door.
The door was painted in blood red, and it seemed to be glowing in the lamps hanging from the walls, with golden stripes and designs from top to bottom. There were lights on the ceiling and a huge blue and yellow carpet lay under his feet.
There were two huge handles on the door, designed with majestic perfection. But Law didn't waste anytime in ignoring and breaking the goddamn door open.
The door burst open with a crash, smoke flowing out of it. Law took out his blade and slashed it once with those practiced hands of his to get rid of the unwanted smoke.
As the smoke cleared, he spotted the two figures he had been searching for all this time.
Raikou and Rin were kissing, but that's not the first thing Law noticed. Raikou had a knife in his hand, and it was pointed at Rin's back, which she couldn't see.
Law's blood boiled and his nerves were visible on his forehead with audible sound of his teeth clattering.
Under a second, Raikou was on the ground, his knife snatched and a blood slash mark on his back which refused to stop bleeding. Rin was on her knees with a look on her face that scared law.
Her body shook as she crawled towards the dead corpse and put her hand on his neck.
"He's dead" said Rin. The look on her eyes was something you would never like to see. It hurt, for Law, to see her like that. From her eyes Law felt as if his Rin was going somewhere she's never gonna return from, and she was dying yet again, because of him. She had a faraway look, like her world just ended. Her face was still though, she didn't even blink once. And yet her heart was beating. It frightened Law, it scared him. His own heart skipped a beat. His mind was sinking. He didn't know whether what he had just done was right or not. No, it was right. It was to protect Rin. It was for Rin. But still he felt guilty. Rin must have liked him a lot. Who knows if she will ever come to like Law like that or not. Probably not. But Law didn't care much about that. Even if Rin didn't like him it wasn't a problem. If he could bring Rin joy then it would be enough. But that's not the point here. Rin is suffering, because of Law.
Without thinking Law's body moved automatically. He hugged Rin as tightly as he could and tried to comfort her. Rin's head was above Law's shoulders and she stayed still.
"W-why did you k-kill him?" she asked silently.
"I'm sorry" Law said as he tried his best not to make the slightest sound as he slid the knife acrosse the floor.
"What did he ever do to you?!" Rin sounded angry.
"I'm sorry" That was all he could say.
"I can handle the truth. Say it" said Rin as she slightly put her arms around Law, hugging him back.
"I'm sorry"
"SAY IT!!" she said as she gripped Law's shirt and hid her face in his neck.
"I'm sorry"
"...He...he was trying to kill me wasn't he?" she said silently, calming down into realization.
"..." Law didn't say anything, he couldn't.
"I knew it..."There was a moment of silence before another word was heard.
"Please don't look at me..." she said after a few seconds as she tightly hugged Law. Nothing could surprise Law more, which brought a slight smirk at the corner of his lips.
"At least you showed some type of emotion. Cry your soul out today" he replied.
Made a little bigger chapter than usual. Sorry for the late update :)
