44. You scared, sweetheart?

Avery's POV

Both Luke and Bradley also come to me, smiling and shaking my hand instead of hugging me.

"Welcome to the pack" Luke says, in a serious voice, before laughing.

Bradley comes to me and looks over at Jordan, probably for permission to shake my hand. Jordan nods, and grins, probably at Bradley's cautious actions. I shake his hand and he welcomes me as well before I get tightly embraced by Aubrey again.

"Oh my god, I can't believe it's all happening now! This is so exciting!" she squeals happily.

"We should do something to celebrate!" Tyler says, probably thinking about another party. I hear Aubrey gasp before she lets out her idea.

"We should all watch a movie in the theatre room!" she says. I'm happy with the thought. I've always loved movies and the theatre room sounds cool.

"Yeah sure, that sounds good" Jordan states before we all move around the house, towards the theatre room. If I was by myself, I never would've found it. I will never get over how big this house is. The theatre room is big, just like the rest of the house and has a giant slim tv.

There are so many giant pillows and bean bags that the floor is no longer visible. They all vary in shades and colours but most of them are dark colours like black, brown, grey and navy.

Tyler does a quick run up before diving on the mountain of softness. It looks like so much fun that I almost copy him but remember that it's not my house so I should probably be polite.

"What are you waiting for?" Tyler calls to us, in a muffled voice due to being covered slightly by a pillow. Bradley goes in first, landing close to Tyler.

Jordan looks over at me with a smile, before leaning down to my level and whispering in my ear.

"After you" he says in sweet voice. I don't need to be told twice. I take a few steps before jumping off the ground and landing on the far right side of the room, almost hitting the wall. A blue bean bag falls on top of me and for just a second, I'm covered in complete darkness. After that, I feel the pillows shift from in front of me and I can see again. Jordan's blue eyes shine out from the darkness, making me jump before I realise it's just him. I see his dark hair sticking out from under a grey pillow, reassuring me.

"You scared, sweetheart?" he whispers. Oh gosh, he makes my heart flutter. I shake my head no while smiling a little.

"Don't worry I'll protect you, darling" he says with a grin before moving closer.

I lie back onto the pillows and Jordan copies me, lying next to me. He puts his arm around my waist, holding me to him. My body seems so small compared to his and my whole right side feels warm. To distract myself from Jordan's presence, I focus on Aubrey and Luke, still standing in front of the tv where they flip through a couple of dvd cases. Finally, they seem to agree on one and set up the movie before diving into the mass of pillows and bean bags as well.

Someone must have turned off the lights because it suddenly feels very dark and a shiver runs down my spine. Jordan seems to notice and pulls me closer so that I'm almost lying on top of him. I lay my head back and find that it makes contact with his chest.

For a moment, I freeze, before slowly laying it back down. I put my hand gently against his chest, right over his heartbeat and gasp at the feeling. I can feel his body shake under me as he laughs.

The movie starts playing and I soon realise that they chose the movie 'Just Go With It'. Of course Aubrey must have had a strong say in the discussion as it is a romantic comedy movie. I even hear Tyler groan at the choice.

I guess he didn't mind that much because I heard everyone laugh at least once throughout the movie. The best parts in the movie was when Jordan would chuckle and I could feel his chest rumble. A few times, he would raise a hand to my hair and brush through it softly. Near the end, he even softly kissed my hair and stroked my arm with his fingers lightly. It made me shiver and it tickled a bit.

Finally, the movie ended and I think all of us just wanted to fall asleep right then and there but we all knew we had to get back to campus. Slowly, one by one, we would stand up and stretch before leaving the room.

I feel so tired as I yawn and blink my eyes slowly.

"Let's get you back to campus, darling" Jordan says tucking a rebel strand of my hair behind my ear. I smile and nod while yawning once again. He just laughs and gives me a quick peck on my nose before preparing to leave.

Jordan gets up first and I feel jealous of how graceful he managed to do it as I know I'll probably fall flat on my face. Just as I'm about to brace myself for my future slip up, Jordan's hand comes into view with a smile on his face again, as if he could read my thoughts. I gratefully take his hand and instead of helping me up, he pulls me up, fully with his own strength as I had no time to react and try to pick up my own weight.

I guess Jordan actually is too strong for his own good because he pulls me up too much and I go crashing into his chest. My free hand instinctively presses against Jordan's chest and instead of removing it, I keep it there. His chest feels very hard but smooth which makes my heart do flips.

One of his hands instantly wraps around my waist while the other still remains holding on of mine.

His lips give a lingering peck on my cheek before he moves around so that we stand next to each other.

Jordan's leads us over the mountains of bean bags. How did they ever manage to come across this many bean bags? They literally cover the whole floor with a small gap at the front of the tv but the rest of it is completely covered. A few times I almost slip up through sinking holes but Jordan always stables me. Just being my typical clumsy self.

Finally, we make it out the door and I can see the others all chilling in the room we ate breakfast in.

So so sorry again this wait was 11 days. Sorry, I've been so distracted with school and other commitments and I've even had some thoughts about writing another story but I'm not sure...
