"Oh please! Like I couldn't take this guy out right now...." Jerome laughed like the maniac he is, only making me roll my eyes, grinning from the look on his face as he pranced around me practically with glee, clapping his hands together.
"Pleeeeeease doll.... by all means do! Either way he'd die. If you didn't do it.... then I would. Because we all know he can't simply walk out of here..." Jerome smirked down at the guy currently tied to a chair in the living room, terror in his eyes as he looked up at me with even more terror, seeing the gun I had poised in my hands, making me laugh like crazy.
You know! Jerome and his psycho ways are really becoming me. Even the laugh. It's rather appealing. I can see why he does it so much!
"He's right. Unfortunately for you. But! It was bound to happen right? You know roaming the streets of Gotham will only get you killed... Don't you ever watch the news?? "Psychos invade Gotham City. Citizens beware.." It's gonna be a new headline soon. I can just see it now!" Before the guy could react, I shot him square between the eyes, blood going all over the wall behind him as I blew the smoke from the end of the gun, examining my work with a little smirk upon my face as Jerome looked at me, impressed.
"Nice work doll! Why, his blood could be a new decoration. It's rather nice on these dull walls...." He smirked as he kissed my cheek before looking down at the guy, making me grin.
"This gun is so... powerful. Shooting him was a way different high than stabbing someone. Look at the hole in his head! Hahaha. Just perfect..." Jerome looked at me, an unknown look flashing over his face as I threw the gun down on the guy, laughing as a sudden knock came to the door, my eyes going wide before Jerome simply chuckled, picking the gun back up, his finger over the trigger.
"Weeeeeell, whoever's at the door will be our next victim.... What a great day this has turned into!" I rolled my eyes, laughing as I went to open the door, my eyes going wide with surprise at the sight in front of me, before a huge smile broke out onto my lips.
"Os! Oh my gosh! You're out!" Oswald grinned at me from outside the door, a smile I haven't seen in so long, looking at me.
"Hey Ana! Jerome. I wanted to come say hi and see how you guys are doing. It's been while since we've talked." I beckoned him in as I drew him into a huge hug, just as Jerome threw his arms around us, making me laugh.
"Ahhh! Group hug! Gotta love it." I rolled my eyes as Oswald looked up at Jerome with a huge smile on his face as we all slowly broke apart. Man he seems really happy. He's done a whole 360.
"Jerome, about what I said before... all the mean, hateful words I hurled at you, I'm very sorry. You really are a good guy that's just misunderstood. You've been through a lot and it's no wonder you've done what you did. So for that, i'm sorry." Jerome looked at Oswald, his eyes wide with surprise before he looked at me, confusion replacing the surprise as he slowly put his hand on Oswald's shoulder, trying to smile. Is this the same Oswald i know?
"Ummmmm, okay. Don't be sorry....? It's all good Cobblepot. I'm not sorry for what I did... nor will I ever be. But..." He took his hand away as he shook his head, walking away from us a little as I looked down at Oswald, just as confused as Jerome. What's going on...?
"Os...? What's wrong? Why are you acting so.... weird?" He shook his head as the same smile he's had on his face since he got here became a tad bigger, before wrapping me in his arms, my eyes going wide. What. In. The. Hell. Is. Happening?!?!
"I'm so so so sorry Ana for anything I've done in the past to upset you. I know I was pretty rough around the edges and I never intended to be. But now I'm better. They've declared me sane. So I'm going to start over. I got to...." Oh no.... what did that monster do to Oswald Cobblepot, the man that would have easily killed someone without thinking twice about it...? He screwed with him so much he's changed him. Something isn't right here... Not at all.
"Oswald... you don't have anything to be sorry for! What's gotten into you...? They've done a lot to you. And you're okay with this?!" He slowly pulled back from the hug as he looked over my shoulder to see the dead guy still laying on the floor, blood everywhere, his eyes going wide at the sight. He seemed... mortified in a way. So yeah, this is not Oswald talking.
"Wow Ana.... I um..... i see you still... kill. And that's perfectly fine! I know it makes you happy. But I can't.... I want to get better. For mother. She would want that. More than anything." I looked down at him with my eyes wide, really really surprised to be hearing this, my eyes welling up. Okay, this Strange asshole has gone too damn far this time... I mean he's making me feel horrible for hurting people just from the way he's looking at me. But... damn i can't stop because i don't care to. I hurt people who deserve it.
And well, the random people just happen to cross my path on a bad day. Anyhow! I softly placed my hand on Oswald's shoulder as he looked at me, a little smile on his lips as his eyes became glossy, making me sad.
"Os... listen to me. Gertrude loved you for you. And it didn't matter what you did. She loved you always. And for the record, you're a great guy! We all have craziness in us and certain people drove you to madness. It was inevitable. We all have had a past where people drove us to madness. And it's just stuck. But Oswald I promise you that you're such an amazing guy. You really shouldn't beat yourself up over it.... Please don't.." His eyes filled with tears as he looked between me and Jerome, before smiling once more, hugging me once again.
"Thank you Ana... really. But... I have to at least try." I sighed as Oswald slowly started walking towards the door, softly opening it as he looked back at me, seeing a look flash over his face that I know very well. He's still there... just be patient Ana. Let him have some time alone...
We waved at one another as he slowly closed the door behind him, making me whirl around to see Jerome holding the gun in his hand as he suddenly pulled the trigger, putting bullet after bullet in the already long gone man, making me walk over. He shook with anger as I slowly pulled the gun from his now blood splattered hands, just as he looked at me, the dark pools taking over his beautiful green eyes.
"Ging..... it's okay. He didn't mean anything by it. You know that..." I softly put my arms around his shoulders, Jerome covered in blood from the forceful gun shots. He looked down at me as he tightly wrapped his arms around my waist, roughly pulling me into him as I gasped from the look in his eyes.
"I. will. never. be. sorry. For anything.... why... I can name one thing now. Killing mommy dearest. She wasn't really a mother now was she....? and then another thing that comes to mind is... you." Suddenly, he smirked as he slowly started backing us up, his tight grip on me seeming to get tighter, my heart racing from nervousness. What the hell is wrong with these guys?!
"Jerome..." He slammed his lips down onto mine with so much force I didn't have time to react as I was suddenly slammed into a wall behind me, his kiss getting more forceful as he suddenly pulled away, a dark smirk upon his lips at the look on my face. I honestly felt fear for a split second. He looks.... terrifying.
"I'm not sorrrrry.... for doing this to you. I loooove it Ana.... I crave it.... I crave you. My beautiful, evil psycho doll! Every time you look at me I can see just how much this has consumed you... you love it just as much and for that..." His face suddenly got really close to mine, our lips mere inches from each other as that smirk consumed his lips, his hand coming to rest on my neck in a tight grip. And the only thing I could do was stare at him, biting my lip as I clutched his arm. Ooooookay. Ummm, should i be running? Because i feel like i should be running.
"I will NEVER!..... apologize..." I flinched from his sudden shout as he laughed, slowly letting me go as he looked me over, grinning from ear to ear as my legs went wobbly.
"Nooooow.... about that body!" He suddenly went over to the dead guy as I leaned up against the wall, my heart racing so damn fast I could pass out. I looked down at the gun still gripped tightly in my hand, before throwing it down, looking over at Jerome as he wrapped the guy up in a huge blanket, grinning at me from down on the floor.
"Come on doll! I need your assistance." I slightly smiled as I slowly pushed off the wall, looking down at my bloody hands, the dead man's blood from the gun. I think we all have lost our minds....
