Entering the doors of Penguins place just looking around at how nice everything looked. I couldn't help but feel proud of him. He's finally accomplished what I knew he would someday. He's become the king of Gotham! Since the day I met him at Fish's club I could see the fire in his eyes. He wasn't trying to impress Fish. Far from that actually. He wanted to take her down.
And in all honesty, I don't blame him. She treated him like an object she could bend or break whenever she wanted. And finally, Oswald did break. And decided it was time to get what he wanted. Jerome saw the huge smile on my face, laughing a little as he softly bumped my shoulder, grinning slightly at my awed look. I'm just so amazed. He's done so well.
"Wow Ana... Smile big enough?" I laughed walking into the room, seeing Butch standing by the fire place getting a bigger smile on my face. I love Butch! Don't get me wrong when I say this, I know he can be deadly when needed. So don't mess with him. But he's a big ole teddy bear on the inside. He does care for the people around him in his group.
"Hey Butch! Long time no see." Butch whirled around, grinning when he saw me with a happy look coming to his face.
"Ana! What a surprise!" He walked over, hugging me as he ruffled my hair, making me scrunch up my face with a smile on my lips. That's something he did the first time we met. Of course, he was working for Fish then. And i didn't know what to think of him at the time. I love him now of course.
"Sooo, Butch. Oswald here?" I heard a door open, seeing the man himself come walking in. Well, waddling in. You know, I think it fits him well. He looks so cute! He took one look at me before a big smile came over his face. See? At least I know I have friends that still love seeing me. It makes me happy.
"Ana! It's been a while my friend." He walked over to me as he wrapped me tightly in his arms, making me hug him back, hard. Oswald has been nothing but good to me. He always looks out for me. He's a lot like a brother honestly. When the whole deal with him and Jim went down, it was rough. But we never lost our friendship. Oswald looked next to me at Jerome, his eyes widening at the sight of him, honestly confused he was standing here.
"Wait. Jerome? I thought Galavan killed you." Jerome held his stomach, laughing. This man right here can really cause a good show. Even if it killed my soul in the process.
"Oh that! You see, I knew from the start something was up. But it really started to make more since the day before the gala. Sooo, I pulled a trick of my own. Ta da!" He bowed, making me laugh. But how does he know Theo? Who has Theo not gotten to yet?
"Wait. Oswald, you know Theo?" Oswald got a look on his face. One I hadn't seen for a while. Worry. And a hint of sadness. What has Theo done....?
"Oswald. What's wrong?" He gestured for us to sit down at the table as Oswald sat in his big chair and Jerome and I sat across from him, my heart racing. What's happening now?
"I had a little meeting with him earlier. He has my mother." Oswald clutched the arm of the chair in his hand, anger on his face. And my eyes widened. He has Gertrude? Why would he take her?? She wouldn't have done anything.
"When did this happen??" Oswald sighed with pain in his eyes. This is killing him and I know it. His mother means everything to him. He would kill for her.
"He wants me to take out the other candidates running for mayor. He's decided he's going to run. And he knew I wouldn't help. So he took my mother." I looked at Jerome, even more mad. How could he do this? I swear when I get my hands on that asshole....
