I sat at the breakfast bar with Raph on one side and Master Splinter on the other. Donnie and Twilight were eating in the lab, Rarity still wasn't awake, Mikey was teaching Pinkie how to cook some different kinds of food and Applejack and Fluttershy were eating on the couch. Rainbow Dash was no where to be found.
I took a bite of my eggs. "Anyone seen Rainbow Dash this morning?"
"She went for a fly around the sewers." Pinkie turned to me, a small clump of spaghetti sauce on her cheek. "I said that we should've woken one of you up to make sure she didn't get lost but she wouldn't listen."
"She never does," Applejack added, bringing her empty plate over and setting it in the sink.
Raph frowned. "So lemme get this straight- we have a fast, energetic girl with a pair of Pegasus wings and rainbow colored hair flying around the sewers?"
"What if she went topside?" Mikey interjected.
Raph and I exchanged a sickening glance.
"Well we'll have a chance to check." Donnie ran in, followed by Twilight. "Kraang activity by the docks. Massive cargo exchange."
Raph and I got to our feet quickly. Mikey set down his pasta pot and grabbed his nunchucks from the counter.
"What do we do?" Pinkie asked.
"Um..." I looked at my brothers.
"We'll stay here with Splinter and see if Rainbow returns. If she doesn't by the time you guys get back, we'll go looking for her," Twilight explained.
We all nodded in agreement and went our separate ways.
Mikey followed close behind me instead of lagging behind like he usually does. I looked at him. "What's got you so attentive?"
He shrugged, doing a flip over an alley way. "Dunno. Maybe cause Pinkie's concerned for her friend?"
"We'll find her," Raph said quickly.
"New York is a big place." Donnie jumped up onto a water tower and down with us from looking on his T-Phone. "It could take us days to find her if she is as lost as she could be."
"That's not very reassuring D," Mikey said as he stopped on the edge of a building,
I had to jump to the side to avoid running into him. "Mikey what are you-"
"Sh!" He put a finger to my lips and jerked his thumb down into the alley way.
I looked over the edge and saw a familiar blue winged girl and-
"Karai!" Raph hissed lowly.
I looked down at the white snake creature that slowly circled Rainbow. This was not good.
"Should we help her?" Donnie asked.
"Probably," I said, preparing to jump down.
Mikey held me back as I saw Rainbow kick Karai squarely in the snout. The mutant reeled slightly and lunged at her, mouth open. Rainbow flapped her wings and flew up into the air, landing behind Karai as she stopped, confused. Rainbow stepped on her tail harshly and Karai let out an ear splitting screech that made us cover our ears.
Karai turned snd glared at Rainbow, who pranced from foot to foot with her fists in front of her face. "Come at me you hydra!" She cried.
Donnie nearly fell off the building. "They have HYDRA in their world?!" He whispered loudly.
"Sh!" Raph, Mikey and I said in unison. We turned back to the fight.
Now it was Rainbow's turn to circle Karai. Every so often Rainbow would punch her in the jaw, causing Karai to be flung farther back against the wall.
Rainbow stopped suddenly as Karai backed up against the wall fearfully, her serpentine eyes stopping their frantic searching for a way to escape go stare at Rainbow, who just stood their with her hands down.
They stood, staring at each other for several moments before Rainbow hissed in her face. Karai bolted down the alley way, leaving Rainbow laughing hysterically.
All four of us jumped down and she turned, stopping her laughing instantly.
I could tell I had a frown on my face which was probably why she looked so scared. I stepped forward and she flinched before I clapped her on the back, grinning.
"That. Was. Awesome!" Mikey cried.
She grinned. "Thanks," she said, flipping her hair over her shoulder.
"Guys we still have the Kraang to deal with!" Donnie interrupted.
Her eyes sparked with interest. "Can I come?"
"No," Raph said instantly.
"Raph," I scolded before turning to her. "We don't have much of a choice. We don't have enough time to take you back to the lair."
She grinned. "So I get to come?!"
I nodded.
She pumped her fist. "Yes!"
