"I have called you all here today in an urgent manner because we had a crisis happen here at the castle," Twilight explained as she paced before her friends.
"Did something come through the portal from the other side?!" Pinkie Pie cried.
"Did Princess Celestia send you a message with an urgent problem?" Apple Jack inquired.
"Did something burst out of the Everfree Forest and you've trapped it so we can beat it up?" Rainbow Dash flew into the air, punching the air with her hooves.
"No, no and also no. The portal seems to have... Changed." Twilight looked at the journal and they all followed her gaze.
"Twilight hit it with a beam," Spike explained, munching on a bowl of emeralds.
Twilight glared at him before continuing. "I decided that this time, we should all go through the portal and see what lies in store for us."
They all nodded grimly, seeming to understand the direness of this situation.
"I'll go first." Twilight stepped up to the portal, folding her wings in beside her. "Wait a few moments before coming after me," she said before stepping into the liquid-like surface.
Despite how calmly she entered the portal, she was thrown out and landed face first on concrete. She moaned, picking her head up and rubbing her nose. Pausing, she pulled her hoof away and groaned as she saw it was no longer a hoof, but a hand.
She looked up and saw a green figure standing in front of her, a pair of goggles over its eyes. She blinked and felt something on her back.
She turned and saw a similarly colored figure poking at her wings.
Wait, what?! She suddenly stood up, looking herself over. Yes, she was a human. Her skin was differently colored now, more a peach color. She felt on top of her head and felt her horn protruding from her forehead and her velvety ears flicking under her touch.
She flapped her wings and squealed as she was lifted off the ground. There was a sound and she was suddenly pushed to the side as the rest of her friends came tumbling through the portal
