The Monster

You wake up in the middle of the night to rustling in the curtains
"babe" you whisper poking Joe's side
"what is it" he groans as his eyes flutter open
"babe quick" you shout even louder, you quickly get up and run out of the bed room
"what is it" Joe says sitting up in bed, you point over at the window
"oh my fucking gosh" Joe screams as he leaps out of bed
"get rid of it hurry" you cry out
"alright give me something to throw at it" Joe says panicking
"there" you say pointing to a shoe, Joe picks it up and walks over to it quietly then hits it
"it's gone" Joe says sighing
"thanks for killing that monster" you say turning the light off and getting back into bed
"it was a big one wasn't it" Joe says pulling you close, you nod and fall back to sleep.

The monster was a spider.
