Ash's P.O.V

I whined rubbing my stomach, "Mason, your family will be here any minute and I can't find any clothes to wear!"

Mason chuckled walking up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist to rub my firm bump. "Ashley they won't be here for an hour. Don't worry love you'll look beautiful in anything you wear, and they won't mind either way."

I pouted looking over at him and shook my head wiggling out of his grip with a sigh, "But I have to look good when I meet your family for the first time, and I can't fit into any of my normal good clothing. We haven't really got any maternity clothes yet either."

He paused looking at me and raising a brow, "Ash, do you have any of your maternity clothes from when you were pregnant with Nadia?" My eyes widened and I tilted my head, my mind wandering to high school when I was pregnant. I still fit in the normal clothes from back then; I would still fit in the maternity clothes from back then too.

I looked to the floor and nodded slowly, "Yea I do," I sidestepped him and brushed my hand against his, "come with me." Leading him out of our room I took him three doors down to the left and set my hand on the handle. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes setting my head on the door as tear filled my eyes. "I can do this," I whispered to myself and turned the nob slowly.

I heard the faint click of the door and held it shut for a moment before pushing it open slowly. The sun was shining through the window lighting up the room in a soft pink hue, reflecting from the walls. I looked around the room, there were boxes covered in dust lined up around the room, a white crib pushed up against the middle of the back wall, Nadia spelled out above it in beautiful colored blocks of wood. There was a white dresser and changing table on the sides of the room, along with a white rocking chair in the corner. A plush white carpet covered the floor; the crib was made with soft pink and white blankets. The changing table was made and ready to be used, if only the ugly, brown boxes were not covering it. A white closet was open, boxes lining the closet, under the small frilly clothes that hung on the bars around the walls. To the other side of the room, there was a white door that was closed that lead to a beautiful bathroom that was also pink and white.

I breathed in deep and walked through the room, memories flashing through my mind as my feet were comforted by the plush carpet again after so many years. I smiled at the crib as I made my way over to it. Once at the crib I placed my hand on the side and peered down into the tiny crib, after a minute I reached in and grabbed the purple plushy elephant from the crib. I coddled the plushy to my chest and rubbed at the soft toy; burring my face into it while tears escaped from my eyes.

"Ash," Mason spoke from right behind me, I jumped as I didn't realize he had followed me into the room. His arms wrapped around me. I spun in him arms and burred my face in his chest sobbing while holding the plushy between us. He rubbed up and down my back hushing me. "It's okay my love," he paused seeming to rethink his statement, "I'm here, love." I gripped his shirt with one hand as he led me backwards towards the rocking chair; he sat down and pulled me into his lap while I cried.

I held onto him and the elephant as he rocked me back and forth, and I cried myself into a peaceful sleep, where nothing bad could ever happen.

Mason's P.O.V

Almost an hour after Ash fell asleep the doorbell rang, not wanting to wake him I assumed it was my mother and sent my sister a text message to my sister to come in, that it was unlocked. A minute later I heard my mother's voice shouting into the house in greeting.

"Mason, darling where are you?" She called into the house.

Lifting Ash I walked out of the room and headed towards his, passing by the stairs I called down to her, "Upstairs mother!" She looked up the staircase at me and my sleeping beauty and squealed along with my sister. "Be quiet, you'll wake him!" I scolded while continuing towards our room. I set him in bed and covered him.

He groaned and rolled around cuddling into the elephant and my pillow, "Mase?" he gave out a tiny yawn reaching across the bed for me. I sat down and rubbed my hand through his hair, he sighed and snuggled into my hand and began snoring slightly again.

I smiled and leaned down to kiss his forehead; then I got up and left, shutting the door lightly behind me. I closed Nadia's door, before heading downstairs to greet my family. "Hello Mama, Chelsea, welcome, how was your trip?"

"Oh it was wonderful darling; now tell me what did you do to that poor sweet boy?" My mother scolded, "You know he is pregnant he must not have too much stress on his body now dear."

"I didn't do anything mother," I sighed, "he was worrying about what to wear. We don't have many maternity clothes yet, so I asked him if he had any from his previous pregnancy." I froze when the sentence came out; my family didn't know of Nadia.

"Previous pregnancy?" My sister gasped covering her mouth.

"He has a child Mason?" My mother threw her hand on her hip, "Why didn't you tell me? Where are they? Whose child is it?"

"Mother," I interrupted her question spree, with a sad look.

"Oh miscarriages are so difficult poor boy," my sister sympathized, as she had been through two already before she had my nephew and niece.

I sighed and shook my head, "Not a miscarriage Chels."

"Oh god," my mother gasped, putting her hand over her mouth, "What happened?"

"Nadia, his daughter, was very ill when she was born and she passed away a couple days after she was born." I explained in minor details, both my mother and sister where wide eyed and shocked. "He was worried about looking well dressed for you guys so I suggested he used clothes from when he was pregnant with Nadia. He took me to her nursery, it was filled with boxes. He cried himself to sleep so please let's just let him be for now. Now where are my rugrats, weren't they supposed to come?"

"They stayed home with Jasper, he had work this week so he couldn't come, but if we are here longer than a week they are going to come up." Chelsea explained.

"Okay, well let's go to the kitchen for some tea, we can catch up," I offered leading everyone away from the bottom of the stairs.

Two cups of tea later and Ash walked into the kitchen holding the elephant in one hand and rubbing his eyes with the other. He was wearing one of my shirts and sweatpants, "Mase, why weren't you in bed? It was cold and lonely," He yawned and walked over to me, not noticing my family as he sat on my lap and grabbed my hand, he moved our linked hands to his round stomach and placed my hand flat against it, "I had to come find you to tell you the baby fluttered. I texted Lois cause Nadia didn't move till I was like 18 weeks or something, and I didn't know they could move at 13 weeks, but they can, isn't that neat?"

"The baby moved?" I questioned looking to his stomach and rubbing my hands all over his bump trying to feel something.

"Yeah, it's only a flutter thing though, it feels weird, and you can't feel it from the outside yet." He snuggled his face into my neck, "It was so cool to feel it again. I always loved when Nadia moved around; it let me know she was safe, and healthy. And it felt cool."

"I used to love it when the twins moved around," Ash jumped looking to Chelsea as she spoke.

He looked over and his eyes widened as he realized my family was staring at us, he shot up, but I grabbed him before he could leave my lap. "Don't worry about it love, they don't care." He looked at me horrified and gripped my shirt hiding his face.

"He's adorable Mason," My mother coo'ed at him with a smile as we all watched the corners of Ash's face burn red and we laughed.
