A Comet's Tail

The spirit's tether is difficult to sever

Assuredly, this fate was destined to last forever―

Our life is ordained for persistence; of this I am certain

When our life's force grows dimmer, it is not the final curtain.

Rather, a call, "Front and center," stands proudly upon this stage

The heavens are yours to roam and explore, and thus, courage

A comet sprinkles the night sky with dazzling residue―

Sol creates its tail whose orbit you pursue

Flung outward deep into darkness, a soul will return

Come tomorrow or a thousand more, an escape to discern?

Our duty lies with Helios, provider of life―his magnitude

Holds fast what is his and we possess eternal gratitude.
