The Fated Encounter (Pokemon/Kirby mash up!)

Chapter 2

Meanwhile far, far away deep in space three creatures were in a small spaceship, heading towards a nearby planet. One of the creatures was maneuvering the ship, while the other two were looking out the windows at the planet.

"This planet looks pretty cool," one commented.

"Poyo!" The small pink creature agreed.

The pilot was too busy adjusting knobs and switches to respond.
He pumped his fist into the air and smirked, "All of my friends on Dreamland will be SO jealous once I bring back space souvenirs! And I'll make 'em be real nice to me if they want to see what I got and-"

"I get it, Tuff! Can you be a bit helpful and quiet for once!?" The pilot snapped.

"OK Tiff! Sheesh, you don't have to yell like that." Tuff retorted.

Tiff sighed and said, "Sorry for yelling at you like that Tuff. It's just hard for me to concentrate on this stuff with you yammering."

Tuff let out a nervous chuckle. A few moments of silence passed.

"Sooo... What are you researching anyway?" He asked.

"Tuff, I've told you about a million times what we're here for." Tiff exasperated tone.

"Well, yeah, but I forgot."

Tiff did a face palm. "You never grow up, do you?" She muttered beneath her breath. "I'm here to gather data on the different species of the galaxy. I suspect there is many different species here on this planet, and I want to collect information on them, remember?"

"Oh, yeah! I-I knew that," Tuff replied sheepishly.

The round pink passenger looked at Tuff. "Poyo?"

Tuff patted the pink creature and said, "I bet you have tons of experience in space, Kirby."

The pink puffball happily said "Poyo!" with the comment.

Suddenly, an explosion on the left wing of our ship triggered the red emergency lights and the wailing siren.

"Tiff! What's going on!?" Tuff said as the ship rattled with the impact.

Tiff was adjusting knobs and buttons crazily now. She flipped one of the switches on, and gasped, "I-I think we're under attack!" A missile flew past us, mere inches away from our ship.

"What are we gonna do?" Tuff hollered at Tiff.

"I-I think I can land us on that planet, but it'll be bumpy..." Tiff veered towards it. As she turned, we all saw the massive vessel that was attacking. On the side, it had a very familiar logo...

"Isn't that... Nightmare Enterprise's...but I thought Kirby defeated them..." Tuff stared open mouthed at the ship's crest. Kirby also looked at it, and let out an angry "Poyo!". Tiff increased our speed and we zoomed forward. Another missile darted past us, barely missing us once again. Moments later we entered the atmosphere and plummeted towards the ground.
