Your late (jason todd x nerd! Reader)

I rush to get to class until the school's bad boy decided to trip me. As my face was about the hit the ground instead of hitting something hard  it was warm kinda hard who ever it was they worked out a lot. When I lift up my head to see it was Jason Todd , he was one person you didn't want to piss off I got the off of him as quickly as possible trying to pick myself up but he gently helped me up.
"Kinda wish we could have stayed in that position but I'm late for somebody's beating  so if I were you I would get to class before the bell rings."
The guys who tripped me had booked it to class. I was still lost into his green eyes while he was talking to me.
"(Y/n) ? Are you there hello come back to earth."
He knew my name wow this day just got a whole lot better. I secretly had a crush on Jason but he'll never know cause the fact he never actually talk to me in a until now.
"What yeah um yeah I should go to class. Ok." I was blushing madly and walked away. I can't be seen like this I hurried to class when I opened the door miss Hardway had already marked me tarty. Clipboard in her hands with the red pen of misery.
"(L/n) , why are you late."
"I had -"
"Don't want to hear it take your sit (l/n)."
I hear the snickers from everyone else who hate me I just walked over to my seat feeling all eyes on me as I sit down. So uncomfortable luckily today were watching a movie on historical events of the Cold War . Yay not really I couldn't really pay attention to it cause I knew what happened and all the important details I just come to school so my Dad doesn't have to worry about the whole world finding a another genius but to be honest I'm not that smart cause I can't socialize like a normal person academically I do great just not great in life other than video games , sports but only my family knows that about me I'm just really shy towards people it started when I had to be around people scary right but that doesn't matter my mind was so stuck on him like usually I would have payed attention to the movie but I'm just doodling on my paper with hearts and other cute stuff.
"(Y/n) pay attention or you'll fail my class."
I felt the urge to give her a piece of my mind but then again she probably wouldn't even understand half of it.
"Not to be rude but I have the highest grade in this class which is a 110."
"Are you back talking to me."
"No no not at all it's just I can't fail."
"Why is that?"
"Cause I know about everything your teaching."
"Oh Really do you want to teach the class."
I felt a tick in my brain where it's coming up ways to burn her which is giving a headache. Great job this nerd is going make this class a joke.
Does she really have a 110 in this class?

Great I can read minds. The teacher looked at me and was thinking that she should just give me a F in participation so my grade can move to a D.
"Actually yeah I can teach."
I got up and she called someone to get me. I decided if I'm going to get in trouble might as well make it memorable.
" ok class I'm going to tell you things you need to know cause this would be the question on test because its so easy for those who pay attention."
After five minutes people were actually listening to me as well as the teacher and the guy who I guess was going to walk me out. At the end the bell rang every had left with some knowledge of what to study.
"(L/n) come here."
says Miss Hardway and the security officer for the school. Anyway she stood there then looked over to guard as if she was saying get lost , he left the room with it only being me and her.
"So am I getting that detention now? "
"No but you are going to be helpful think of this as a form of punishment for interrupting class today your going to help out a student I'm pretty sure you heard of him if you don't well his name is Jason Todd and he is going to fail my class if he doesn't get his act together so I'll need you to help him seeing how you help the students today I feel like you are going to be more successful in helping him."
This is a dream and a living nightmare why out of all these kids it had to be him.
"Yeah I would love to help thanks for not giving me a phone call to my dad."
"(L/n) I expect more from you now on."
I nodded and left her class to go to my locker. The hallways where always crowded with people when I got to my locker it was lunch time.
"Stupid lock why don't you just open up already."
I hit it but soon felt the pain in my hand probably won't help hitting the stupid locker and I definitely don't want to eat school lunch. Let alone have to find a seat in the cafe or outside! Suddenly my locker magically opens but it wasn't because of me wait what.
"Jason?"
"Yeah so who's asking."
"Um what are you doing in my locker?"
"(Y-y/n) I just opened it for you plus I wanted lunch."
"So your the one stealing my cookies!"
"Well your cookies are really good."
I know I should be angry but look at that cute smile like how can I be mad at him.
"Fine, thanks for opening my locker but how did you?"
"Lock picker. Can I have your cookies as reward, please."
"Nope."
"Why I thought that you would be nice to reward me."
"Yeah with homework the teacher miss Hardway made me your tutor."
"Ain't that just peachy."
He looked upset so I looked in my locker for notes that will help him in his need.
Jason pov
Why does miss Hardway hate me it's like she wants me to fail I can't concentrate with her around I couldn't for awhile she's all I think about though Bruce thinks I should get my head out the clouds cause relationship with anyone would end up to endure pain that will hunt me forever I never really thought of it like that so I tried my best but what can I say she's everything I wanted in a girl. I look at her to see that she is taking out some journal for History. She handed to me.
"I'm pretty sure you don't want me to help you so I'll just give you these notes would help you in all of the work you have to make up. "
"No I would like to have you help me after school meet me here at your locker and I'll take us to the burger place that I know you'll like, beautiful."
Shit I just called her beautiful ugh well I'm not lying she really is but I have to make my exit now. I waved and took a cookie went to the cafeteria where my buddy Derek he was being the womanizer having all these girls around him just feeling him up I used to be that way but I stopped after a girl told me that I was wrong for playing her and that one day someone is going to break my heart like I did to her's which made me think that will never happen but when I look at (y/n) I just feel lost.  I had a feeling that she'll just be like a girl next door all sweet and innocent I don't have a problem with that it just makes thing interesting. Through out my last period I thought about things to say to (y/n) and I came to the conclusion that she is way too smart to even fall for that so I just need to keep my cool long enough for her to notice that I'm not another pig in awesome clothes. I wanted to show her that I'm different but since us guys seem to say the same thing I had texted dick asking him how to talk to a girl.
Dick I have to ask you something.

It's about this girl and she's well different.

She's incredibly smart and won't fall for a guy like me.

"Jason come on let's go."  I look up to see it was (y/n).
"What how did you find me I told you meet me in the at your locker." She blushed and looked down but looks me dead in my eyes and she seems so  like there's more to her than what's in front of me.
"Uh Jason you wanna stop staring and say something ."
I shook myself out of her trance and left out the class with her next to me she was walking along side me not saying anything it was quite until some girl that I used to fool around with appeared.
'Dammit not now.'
"Jay Jay Babe. Where are you going."
It was Vicky (if its your name change it to something else). Now she's going to ruin my date with this nerd I needed to get rid of this pesky girl but it seems like I wasn't the only one who didn't like her.
"Uh hey Vicky , I see that you want me to tutor you too I mean you are passing mister Green's class right."
The blond who looked kinda mad but left without another word.
"I should thank -" (y/n) just put her hand up and waved me away from her.
"Ugh it's whatever I don't like her so I just wanted to get away from her."
"Wow are you always cold."
"Nope just tend to be a little more mature than others."
"Spoken like a true know it all."
"Well I may not know it all but I'm trying to but you see I'm not exactly your social butterfly."
I laugh at her cause she has no idea how cute she is when she's being sassy.
"What's so funny." She was blushing again.
"It's just your so obvious when your embarrassed."
"Wha - what do you mean I'm never embarrassed it's just hot out here."
"Sure it is." I say as I unlocked my car doors and opened it for her. smooth move Jason , She is going to think I'm hitting on her.
I got into the car and started it up , the engine roared before we took off. The ride was quite I was trying to keep myself from looking at (y/n). I noticed she was rolling the window so I put the lock on the window just to watch her become confused then quickly look over to me with a cute pouty face.
"What's wrong pouty princess not having your way right now." I laugh at her but then she turned away from me and for some reason it made me stop laughing she made me feel bad and that's something that doesn't normally happen however this isn't like she's some criminal. Even then that would be way easier than trying to impress her.
(Y/n) pov
I looked away from him I didn't want him to see my face becoming red , we finally arrived at the burger place he has been talking about earlier. He parked the car and we got out walking towards the burger place it look like it belong in the 60's we took a booth and he went to order the food so I got all of my stuff for our little tutoring session mostly notes and homework that I have already done.  Jason came back with a tray with two burgers and two fries , one milkshake.
"What's with the one milkshake?" I asked in a monotone voice he looked and put the tray down.

"Sorry I didn't have enough money for the for two so if I thought it wouldn't kill to share one unless you wanna fight for it." He replies in a sexy tone but maybe that's his regular voice still gotta keep myself from being red face.
"Oh ok then. It's not like you have anything right?"
He laugh and said yeah whatever then took a seat next to me now coming to be this close to him again makes my head spin sort of along with the butterflies in the belly  so I just grabbed my burger taking a bite out of it like hey girl gotta eat just saying. So we sat eating together and for the most part it was fun until we got to the work part.
"Ahh so you know this?" I asked him.
"Uh. Yeah it's so easy like any every day joe would know this by now."
"Well sorry but these are exam questions and you got them all right!"
"Yeah I'm not stupid."
"Didn't I didn't  that."
"But you were thinking about it."
I looked at him for a bit then turned away cause my phone went off , turns out to be my dad. I answered the phone and heard him and my grandma talking before I said anything.
"Little girl when are you coming home?"
"Dad I'm coming home soon just helping out my friend with his work." I mentally faceplam because of me mentioning that my friend was a guy out of all things.
"What was that you mean to tell me you are with a boy!"
"Uh on that note I'm coming home now bye dad."
Click. That was close so I looked at Jason wondering if he heard all of that. He just got up so I guess he understood what is happening ,  I got up and we left back to the car it was rather late the night was among us and I completely forgot it gets dark early during the winter. So while we're walking to the car I saw about three thugs all looked as if their looking for trouble hopefully they don't come our way but with my luck the thugs surrounded me and Jason.
"Give us your money, kid."
"Oh look at the girl we are taking her too."
I look over to Jason and he was just looking uninterested in what was happening like we have guns pointed at us how is he not freaking out. He just put his hands in his pockets and looked at the thugs.
"Look I know it's been a long night for all of us so tell you what I'll let you go off with a warning and all bones not broken."
They laughed at him but suddenly he stands in front of me and punched one thug then kicked the other as the third one ran away screaming sayings people had gone crazy around here. Yeah crazy I looked at Jason but he was about to kill one of the thugs so I stopped him from doing that.
"Jason no this isn't right."
"What do you mean it's in black and white he tried to kill us so I kill them and this won't happen to anyone else."
"Jason." That's all I could say I didn't feel like arguing I just grabbed his arm and pulled him to the car. ~this well be continued ;)
