Jason Todd x reader one shots

On the first day of Christmas

Jason and I had a tradition since we've became friends sorta started off as a call back when we both ran into Riddler by solving his puzzles anyways that cozy time of year is coming back up again. This year feel different like instead of Rocking around the Christmas tree it's more like All I want for Christmas is you it's weird isn't it? I've completely lost my mind if I think that Jason would be willing to think about even dating me. The thought of asking him out around the holidays is exhausting but can't help my heart really I keep trying to fight these feelings thinking it must be the holidays or the life or death situations that we find ourselves in , the reality is that I truly believe I have falling in love with him I don't know why or when okay that's a lie I remember exactly when I fell in love with the man in the red mask it was three Christmas's ago after the game was over.
Three years ago December 15 20xx
"I'm going to beat you this time and then you'll have no choice but to tell me what you got me for Christmas this year." I tell him breathlessly as I move closer towards the reindeer statue it was the one I needed it had the next clue for where the next one will be. I turn to see him still behind me.

"Sounds like you just want to ruin the surprise I've got for you." Jason replying back as he continues climbing up the building.

"You know I'm impatient sometimes plus I wanna make sure mine is perfect for you."  I explain to Jason
"Wow and here I thought it was just because you want to one up me." He joked as he takes a different route though I turn my head back up and push myself up to the top of the roof.
I grab the statue and open the bottom of the stand.

'Santa is coming ho ho ho but where did all his reindeer go? Dasher had dashed away but a man who is also a speedster might know the way.  But you have to catch him first.'

The Flash. Easy now all I gotta do is find him for the next clue.
As if on cue Jason pops open the vent and hops out causing me to jump out of my skin.

"God you scared me." I laughed. "Where the heck did you go anyways?"

"Well I had to pick up something here." He whispered moving his hand from behind his back. Showing a small but beautifully wrapped box that was decorated in ribbons and glitter.

"What is this?" I question him as he pushes his hand towards me.

"I'm actually not going to be able to finish our game this year." I hear him say lowly as if he was speaking to the floor.  He touch my hands to force them open to accept the box. "I can't not this year Isabel thinks that this is weird and I really like her but I don't want to lose you as a friend so I guess what I'm trying to say we are going to have to hang out less."

"What did I do wrong I never said anything to her or about you." I'm almost to tears as he pulls his hood up trying to keep his face hidden from the wind. "Jason I never did anything."

"It's not that."

"You know what fine it's cool I get it I guess anyways so your going to be with her right?"

"Yeah I'm meeting her family this year , we are getting serious." His eyes holding mine as he lets his last words fall out. "I don't want to mess  my relationship for whatever this was." As he moves his hands from me to him.

"We are just friends." I stated

"That happened to just kiss each other or maybe the whole getting jealous thing." Jason retorted

"It doesn't mean anything that kiss was just a stupid thing plus you weren't even in a relationship at the the time so why does it matter !" I fumed back to him. At this point I felt my face burn with anger and embarrassment it was true that I had some feelings but I didn't want them not now.

"Because it did matter to me!" He blurted.

His eyes went wide as a full moon he turned away getting ready to walk off.

"Jason." I roared " you really think you just going to drop that and just walk away?"

He didn't answer but he just took out his grappling hook  point  towards the city before pulling the trigger he said. "Happy holidays y/n." Then leaves me alone on the abandoned building. I open the box just to see a few photos of us then a note on the last photo of us  was a charm it was in the shape of two hands each hand was holding a heart with a crown on top of it was gold, Gazing at it I realized it was meant to be on my bracelet so I added his charm on to the bracelet I was wearing. I take a last look at the city of Gotham before going home.

After a few months into the next year I didn't hear him or see him but if I was being honest with myself  I was avoiding him too I didn't know it then but I now know I was in love with him. News got around that him and Isabel broke up around that same time he sent me a letter telling me he wants us to be friends again in which I said yes. We continue our friendship but it wasn't like it was before and now we aren't sure how the other feels but one thing was sure that it was a love there.

Current year December 1st

Wow. I take a look at Jason's face as he just finished describing what we are going to be doing this year he seems to be really excited to even get started.

"Jason just one question so we are going to actually hanging out this year for Christmas this year?" I ask him

"Yeah it's just I miss our thing you know plus it's going to be awesome this year I can almost guaranteed it I've been planning this thing for about three months now." He rubs his hands together looking at me with a grin.

"I going on a limb here to say that I am to expect a actual challenge this year."I say jokingly as I poke his  chest.

"Obviously besides I had a little help from some good friends."

"Sure you had a 'little' help but just know I'm the true detective around here."

"What about Batman?"

"Second best detective."

"Tim?"

"Third. Now shut up and let's get this game started."

*hey guys so I'm actually going to make a 25 day of Christmas story but this story will go on into the new year so you know what that means everyday I'm going to post a new chapter everyday probably late at night though so just expect it also I'm trying to challenge myself to see if I could actually can do it
