I'm still working on it but it's going to be really cool when it's done!
So basically how it works is those white strips you see are led lights. They're super bright! I soddered (i'm not sure how to spell it...) the wires on to these two little coper dots (you can see them on the strips they're in groups of four.)
The red wires are hot (positive) and the black wires are neutral. (Negative.)
And so, I soddered all the red wires together, and all the black wires together (separately)and then I put on this shrink tubing stuff on the ends. (You can see it where the wires meet.)Two of those wires lead to the plug thing (I forgot what it was called...) which I hot glued down.
So basically we built this so that one side could pop off, so we could replace to plexie glass that's going to go on top if needed.
We're going to sand the plexie glass so its frosted (dull), so the light isn't glaring in my face. And basically what a light box is, is a contraption that allows you to trace drawings onto a separate piece of paper. (IT'S A LIFE SAVER!!!!)
And the ones online are SUPER expensive. (Like $300 (US dollars))
So I asked my dad if he could help me build one.The only think is now I have to do more sanding...
Yay...
Sanding is annoying... But it needs to get done.
It's like laundry.
