You Remember A Song

Thomas:

He had just returned from the Maze and found you doing your job. You were building a bench in the Gardens and singing and you didn't realise he was behind you, listening to your song.

"Hallo from the other side,
I must have called a thousand times,
To tell you I'm sorry
For everything that I've done
But when I call you never,
Seem to be home."

You kept singing. You suddenly felt his arms wrapped around your waist. You turned and found out it was Thomas. "Whatcha singin'?" He asked. You stopped. "No, I didn't tell you to stop. I like it, please go on." He pleaded and kissed your cheek. "I forgot the rest." You looked down and played the rythm again by tapping your foot on the ground. "That's too bad, sw..." you cut him off "Shh, Tom! I'm trying to remember. " , "Okay. Tell me when you do. I'm going to take a shower." He said and left but before he could get away enough, you sung again.

"Hallo from the outside,

And it doesn't matter,
Clearly, it doesn't tear you apart anymore"

"It's really nice. I love your voice. " Thomas said. "It's nothing, really. Speaks about breaking up. " you tried to be modest. "No, it's beautiful. And you're signing it excellent. " He made you a compliment. "If only you could hear the woman's voice, the one I have in my mind. " you responded and he winked at you and headed to get a shower.

Newt:

You were at work, cooking and playing a rythm by hitting the spoons on th counter. Newt was there too. He was sitting in a chair and talking to you since it was soon lunch time.

"...he says. And I was like, bloody Min- Min, just sit still. But he wouldn't! I mean, it was just a scratch . And Jeff was telling him to be patient, but still, Minho was afraid of the needle ! Can you believe it? That shank runs every day in the Maze and risks his life with the Grievers and he doesn't want to have a stiches!" He was telling you about the day's episode . "(Y/N), are you paying any attention to me talking? " He asked a bit annoyed but you didn't even hear him.

There was a melody in your mind and you were sure it was a song. What else could it be anyways? You wanted to remember the lyrics so bad!

"(Y/N)!" you heard Newt screaming. You jumped up by the surprise and turned to face him. "NEEWT! " you yelled. "You scared the Maze out of me!" You complained and Newt broke down laughing.

You were using this phrase instead of 'scared the hell / shit out of ' you used the word 'Maze' , after the famous Maze, who was a hell for you. Newt always laughs at that. He finds it cute.

"Don't make me laugh! " Newt said trying to drown his giggles. "It's serious. You aren't listening to me. What's bothering you?" He was serious now and he was coming closer to you. He took your hand and kissed it. In the meanwhile, you were still clapping the spoons together.

"It's just that melody.... It keeps playing on and on in my head. But I can't remember the lyrics! " you said. "Aw Princess." Newt said and hugged you. "It's nice that you think you remembered something. But it's not possible. You are just making your own music and think it's a song from your life before the Maze. There is no chance you remember lyrics. Sorry babe. " He said and turned to leave.

"You're very pessimistic." You told him. You were a bit annoyed. How dared he questioning you like that? "It's the truth. Unfortunately. " He said.
