"Okay, I realize things seem kind of... weird right now." Dad said, bouncing Chase up and down in his arms a little. "But until we figure out how to reverse this, we have to take care of the Bots. That means, as far as I know, acting as if they were legitimately one-year olds. That has got to be the weirdest sentence I have ever said in my entire life." He bounced Chase back up, who was now playing with his tie. "I've already called Doc, he's going to be bringing over Frankie's old stroller to use as a spare. There should be at least one pack-and-play in all of your closets. We'll have to dig into our storage to see what toys and other baby stuff we can find for the Bots to use."
"Would we need any clothes, Dad?" Dani asked, cradling Blades in her arms. He was really interested in her arm at that moment.
"Uh... Just the hats, scarves and mittens, just to be safe." He answered.
Dani nodded.
"As far as caring for the Bots, Graham, you have Boulder; I'll take Chase; Dani, you have Blades; and--'
"Dad, I'm not taking him." Kade said. "He's annoying when he's full grown, and he would be just as annoying as a baby."
Dad just ignored him. "Kaylee, I want you to take care of Heatwave."
Kade laughed like I just got screwed over or something. "Have fun!"
"Actually, he's been pretty good for me, Kade." I say in a soft voice, carefully readjusting Heatwave's position in my arms. "I think you're missing out."
"Yeah, well have fun. I don't babysit anymore." With that he stormed off to the elevator and went up. I roll my eyes.
"There's a pack-n-play in my room, right, Dad?"
"Yes, there should be one in there."
"Then can I be excused?"
He nodded and I took the elevator up when it came back down.
I walked up the stairs, down the hall to my room, closing the door behind me. I carefully laid the pint-sized Bot on the top of my bed, making sure I didn't wake him up, and moved to my closet. I dragged the folding crib out from behind a stack of boxes, and had to experiment with it to get it to go the way it's supposed to be.
When I finally got it right and got the padding in the mat that goes on the bottom, I tossed a small pillow in it, and started to rummage around for a small blanket.
Then there was a knock at my door. "It's Graham. Can I come in?"
"Quietly, please."
He carefully stepped in, and closed the door. "I just put Boulder down for a nap. How's the tike?"
"Surprisingly, quiet as a mouse." I say. "Once I find a blanket, I'm gonna move him into the crib."
"I, uh, brought one." He pulled a yellow blanket out from behind his back. "I found an extra, figure you'd need it."
"Thanks! I did, too." I got up off my knees and took the blanket from him. "That's all you needed, right?" I ask as I tucked in the bottom of the blanket.
"Uh, actually..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Are you sure you can take care of Heatwave?"
This? Really?
"Yes, Graham. I think I am capable of caring for one of my best friends."
"I'm just making sure you know what you're getting into. Babies are a big responsibility, whether they're humans or, in this case, Bots."
"We'll be fine. Heatwave's been good so far. As long as Kade doesn't mess it up, he should be no trouble."
Right when I said that, I heard babbling coming from my bed. Dang it. He's awake.
I turned and looked at him. He had rolled himself over on the bed, and just smiled when he saw me.
"Well, good morning, sleepyhead!" I said, walking over to him. "Did you have a good nap?"
He just cooed. This is cute but weird at the same time.
I hoisted him up off the bed and sat him on my hip. He started pointing at random things in the room; I named them for him. Then he pointed at Graham.
"That's Uncle Graham." I say.
Graham gave his "What the heck are you doing?" look. I just shrugged.
He pointed at him again. "You wanna say hi?"
I walked him over, and Graham took him from me.
"Can you watch him for me for a second? Dani has all the winter clothes."
Graham nodded, and I rushed out of the room. Right when I entered her room, she tossed me a red diaper bag with toys and clothes in it. I rushed back to find Graham trying to keep his glasses away from Heatwave's reach. Wow this is really weird.
"Why do babies always go for the glasses?" Graham said.
I just shrug and take Heatwave back. "Same reason I did."
"What's that?"
"I dunno."
He just rolled his eyes with a smile. "I'm gonna go check on Boulder. If you need anything, let me know."
I nodded, and he left the room. I sat Heatwave on the bed, and opened the diaper bag.
He looked at me as he held onto his feet.
I just smirk. "Let's see if any of these fit you."

A/N: Hey guys! I'm gonna be honest, this was really weird to write. But then again I think it's like one of the most common ideas a Rescue Bot Fanatic thinks of. IT'S REALLY HARD NOT TO! *Hides* Anyway, I might have a part two for this, depends on if you guys really like it. So leave a vote if you want more! :)
