You get in your car and look at the setting Sun. Your hands are clammy and you sweat profusely. You were going to meet Kian for the first time in six months, the first time since the incident.
You turn on the car and when it starts you groan, this was the one time it did start. Of course, the one time you want it to malfunction.
How am I supposed to tell him I don't love him? How can I break his heart like that? You ask yourself. You suddenly stiffen and then anger fills your body.
I can because he broke me so many times. There was nothing left of me. Nothing left for me to hold onto in the end. He destroyed me. The harsh thoughts fill your head and block out the sympathetic half.
You pull up to Kian's house he shares with JC.
You take a deep breath and step out of the car, you hold your chin up and slowly walk to the door.
"Hey," he smiles as he opens the door. You push past him without a word.
"If you aren't going to talk to me why did you agree to this?" he asks.
"I don't know," he goes to take your jacket and you flinch.
"Please, don't be scared of me. I didn't mean to hit you. The last thing I want to do is ever hurt you," he sighs.
"But you hurt me physically and emotionally. Kian there is no easy way to say this, but I can't love you. I don't love you. I forced myself not to," you see tears well in his eyes.
"I understand. I hurt you too many times," he nods.
"Even if we may not be able to go back to old habits, you always have to start somewhere. Kian I agreed to this because I want to start over. I want to pretend that none of that ever happened. Kian I want you back, but I went through so much that I fell out of love with you. I want to fall back in love with you. I know you didn't mean to do anything you did. I know you love me. I want to love you again. Kian I miss you so much," you finish.
"Can I hug you?" he asks. You nod and he wraps you in a hug.
"You may not think it, but you are the best thing that ever happened to me," he whispers.
"Let's start over," you smile.
"Deal," he smiles back.
