'I love you (First name).'

Those were the words he said to you after he broke up with another girl. It melted your heart seeing how sincere he looked. You knew the risk that being with him will be very difficult yet you agreed to be his girlfriend. But, of course, your love life was not that good to say. You experienced some loneliness and bullying(a little bit) but you faced it all with a smile.

Everyone from the Aobajosai volleyball team knows your kindness and sweet smile. They even call you their angel.

"(First name)-san! We're done practicing."
"Good work everyone. Here, I brought some fresh lemons for you guys to eat. Enjoy~"
"Thank you (First name)-san."

You smiled at them but you looked over to the court and saw your boyfriend still practicing. Iwaizumi saw this so he went to you and told you things.

"He still practices even though he's already good."
"I know that. He really works hard. Even you guys. Plus, I can't force him to choose me over volleyball. That's just unfair to him 'cause he loved it ever since."
"You're really a kind one."

You just smiled and gave him his share of water and some lemons. You quickly went outside to refill their water bottles if they ever want to continue practicing again. Outside, you were interrupted by a bunch of Oikawa's fangirls.

"Hello there."
"Stop being a goody-good shoes (Last name). You're such a slut and you're not even pretty. I wonder what did Oikawa see in you."

You were hurt but you just smiled at them.

"Is that so? Maybe, you could try using other products to make your skin glow. I doubt that you're that beautiful but I'm sure that you'll get pretty enough soon." This rilled up the fangirls in front of you. She was about to slap you a hand intercepted and held it tightly. It was none other than, Iwaizumi.

"Iwaizumi!"
"Back off now before I tell this to Assikawa."
"Tch." The girl clicked her tongue before glaring at you.

Once they left, Iwaizumi asked if you were alright. You forced a smile and assured him that you were alright. After that, you returned to the gym and told the coach that you were going home early. You left a note for Oikawa saying that you're going home first.

While walking down the road, it was visible how shaken you were earlier. Tears stung your eyes as you tried to hold them back. Your breathing became difficult and you couldn't take it anymore so you let them free.

"I can't force him to be with me even if I tell him to. Maybe we're just not meant to be together."

•Oikawa's POV

The practice was over and I went to the locker room to change. I saw a note and read it. It was from (First name)-chan. It stated there that she was going home early. I really miss being with her, I wonder if she's avoiding me.

While walking towards the gym door, I overheard the first years talk about (First name).

"(First name)-senpai is very kind but naive as well. She's a martyr for that."
"Yeah. She's sacrificing her own happiness. How could she do that?"
"Being with Oikawa-senpai only brings her sadness."
"I know right. Did you see those girls earlier? If it wasn't for Iwaizumi-senpai, then (First name)-senpai would have surely be hurt."

'She was almost hurt!? Why didn't Iwa-chan tell me this!?' I saw Iwa-chan by the gates and I asked him what happened earlier. It was all true. I feel so ashamed now. I promised to always make her smile and all but what I brought was only sadness. I know I'm a volleyball idiot but... I still value other people's feelings.

"Don't just stand there you idiot! Go and make her smile!"
"Iwa-chan...."
"Don't call me that Assikawa!" He said as he threw a ball at me. It hurt but it couldn't be compared to the pain she must have now.

"Thank you Iwa-chan!"
"Shut up you idiot!"

I looked for (First name) and there, I found her sitting at one of the swings. I could hear soft sniffles so I quickly went to her and hugged her.

"I'm sorry."
"T-Tooru!? W-What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see my girlfriend of course. I know I've caused you enough problems now (First name)-chan and if you'd like. Would you go on a date with me this Sunday?"
"Tooru... Of course! I would love to!"

•3rd POV

You smiled sweetly at him which earned you a blush. He tried to hide his face with his hands but he can't. So what he did was he grabbed your hand and kissed your lips.

It's very unexpected of the Grand King who only loves to play volleyball but you can see now that his past girlfriends just don't have enough patience.

"Thank you. I love you (First name)." He said with a smile.

"I love you too."
