"CANON BALL!" yelled Chase as he jumped into a pile of leafs that Chris had raked up. Chris wanted to have some fun so he started raking up leafs and made a giant hill. Chase was small so he was basically buried under the leafs. His little head popped out and he was laughing. "That was so cool!" Chris helped him out of the pile.
"Your turn Megan" Chris said. I got ready to jump but then I was pushed into the leafs by Uncle Scott. I heard Chris and Scott laughing. I got out of the pile and stood beside Chris. Uncle Scott jumped in and leafs went flying everywhere. We all laughed. We went back inside and drank some hot chocolate. Grandma makes the best hot chocolate ever. Before we did anything else Chris made sure I did my stuff for school online. I don't really talk about online school a lot because it's boring. Chase wants to go to regular school and make friends like he did in Preschool. Him and his friend Connor are like brothers. But he hasn't seen Connor in a while because he moved to Nevada with his Aunt. Chris had been filling out paper work to get Chase set up for second grade. I finished what I had to do and closed Chris's computer he let me use. I walked out into the kitchen and put my mug in the sink. Chase was upstairs sleeping as usual. Children sure do sleep a lot. Chase sleeps for about an hour or two then is literally a ball of energy.
I decided to clean my mug for grandma since she was busy. After I cleaned the mug I put it on the dish rack to dry. I dried my hands using a towel and walked back to the living room to just chill for a little bit. Chris was outside raking leafs with Uncle Scott so the yard was clear for mowing the grass that was getting a little high. I sat on the couch trying to get comfortable. Once I was comfortable I started flipping through TV channels looking for something to watch. I got bored and decided to look through the movies they had here. Once I saw The Losers I put it into the DVD player and pushed play.
Once Chris and Uncle Scott were back in the house the scene where Jensen was getting on the elevator and singing Don't Stop Believing. Chris started singing a little making me laugh. He was shocked to see I had done the dishes. Uncle Scott went up stairs to take a shower to get the disgusting smell of sweat off of him. Chris said he'd go up once Scott was finished. Chris took off his shoes and the smell of stinky socks filled the air.
"I need an air freshener" I said pinching my nose.
"It doesn't smell that bad. Does it?" He asked taking a sniff of the air and his face scrunched up, "yep it smells bad." I laughed at his words as he ran over getting one of those spray things. He sprayed it around the room making it smell like apple cinnamon. Uncle Scott came downstairs wearing sweatpants and a blue sweatshirt.
"It's all yours bro" he said slapping Chris's shoulder as he walked past his brother. Uncle Scott plopped down beside me with a THUD! He started watching the movie with me and soon Chris came down stairs wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt and jumped onto the couch making me bounce up. After the movie was over Uncle Scott jumped towards the movies and took out the Little Mermaid. He put it into the DVD player and pushed play. The three of us sang along to most of the songs. Sometimes I'd stop just to hear them sing. It was funny when they sang Poor Unfortunate Souls. They made me laugh so hard. Chris sang Ursula's parts while Scott sang parts of Ariel's. I was trying so hard not to laugh at these two goofballs. It's kind of hard not to laugh. I busted into the song along with them. Without us knowing grandma was taking a video.
"You three are adorable" Grandma said walking through the living room towards the kitchen. After the movie was over Chris said it was his turn and the challenge was not to laugh. Oh no. Please no. I couldn't do this challenge. Chris picked the movie... Not Another Teenage Movie. He wanted to see how long it took to make me and Scott laugh. It got to the part where me and Boo Bear nearly died. I held in my laughter.
"Was it a real or a foam banana?" I asked making Uncle Scott burst into laughter.
"It was foam" Chris answered truly embarrassed. Uncle Scott couldn't hold his laughter.
After the movie Chase walked down stairs for dinner. We all had dinner together and talked about stuff. Chris said he'd be taking us to comic con soon. I almost leaped out of my seat. Being the excited person I was after dinner I walked up stairs for bed and couldn't sleep. My door creaked open and Chris walked into my room expecting me to be asleep.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" He asked with a smile.
"I don't know. I can't fall asleep" I said as Chris fixed the covers.
"Get some rest Pumpkin. Tomorrow we are gonna have a little bit of fun and family time" Chris said kissing my forehead.
"Sounds like fun" I said.
"It will be since we're going to Leonie's Pizza" he said smiling.
"YAY!" I said almost jumping out of bed. Chris pushed me back down with a smile.
"Get some rest" he said turning off my lamp.
"Fine" I said getting comfortable. Chris gave me on last kiss on the forehead before leaving my bedroom.
Chris's P.O.V
I got to my room and got comfortable in bed. Megan was excited for tomorrow. I was too. I slowly started to drift asleep then the sound of my door creaking woke me up. I looked at the door to see Chase looking scared. "What's wrong buddy?" I asked sitting up.
"I had a bad dream" he said climbing onto my bed.
"You can sleep here tonight buddy" I said as he laid down beside me hugging my arm.
"Do you want to talk about your nightmare?" I asked. He shook his head 'no' clearly not wanting to talk about what had happened in his nightmare. Soon he was fast asleep. Then so was I.
