Chapter 26

Authors POV

"Who's up there?!" Caleb yelled while walking up the steps in the gatehouse. "Show yourself !" He edged closer to the door.

"Run." KT opened the door behind the organ with her key, and they went through the secret passage.

When they were all out of the passage way and away from the gatehouse, they stopped to talk about what happened.

"I am so sorry guys. I don't know what came over me! And I'm supposed to be the leader of Sibuna, not a stupid, loud mouth girl." Nina apologized.

"It's okay Nina, we understand." KT assured.

"And your not stupid, or loud mouthed, your a smart beautiful girl." Fabian smiled while hugging Nina.

"Uhh, hate to spoil the moment, but we gotta talk about what just happened!" KT said. Fabian and Nina let go but Fabian kept his arm around her.

"Yeah, who was that woman? Or was it a woman?" Nina asked.

"Haha," KT laughed. "That was our history teacher from senior year. You know- the one who turn my great great grandfather evil, kidnaped Patricia, and was supposed to be sank into the underworld with Ammit? "

"That's Mrs. Denby for ya." Fabian laughed.

"But if she was sank into the underworld then how is she back here?" Nina asked.

"I don't quite know, but Nina would you mind doing some research with me about this?" Fabian asked. Nina nodded. "And KT catch the rest of Sibuna up on what happened. Come on Nina." He grabbed her hand and sped away.

"This is why I don't have a boyfriend!" KT giggled to herself and went back to Anubis.

~The next morning~

Patricia walked out her bedroom door with a bookbag, her phone, and a piece of paper neatly folded at 6 o'clock that next morning.
She tiptoed past Victor, avoided Trudy, and slid ,the piece of paper she had, under Eddie and Fabians bedroom door. She whispered at the door. "I love you,Eddie" and then walked toward to main entrance. But before she opened the door, she looked around at the ceiling, the stairs, the hallway, and the artifacts in the house, and opened the door and walked out shutting it behind her.

Eddie woke up 10 minutes early. Probably because his nerdy roommate likes to get up early to see his girlfriend.

"Dude, why?" Eddie said rubbing his eyes.

"Because, we gotta talk to Sibuna this morning." Fabian said back, standing in the mirror fixing his tie.

"Yes, but this is every morning. I can't be late to school if your up at 7 o'clock sharp every morning." Eddie said lazy eyed.

"Well if you want you could room with Alfie and Jerome." Fabian smirked.

"Ugh, I'll pass. I don't wanna get preyed on" Eddie and Fabian chuckled.

"Oh hey, There was a note that I found on the floor this morning, it has your name on it." Fabian handed Eddie the note. "Don't worry, I didn't read it." He said while opening the door and walking out it.

Eddie stared at the note and thought Maybe it's from Nina about Sibuna?

He opened the note and read it in thought.

Dear Eddie,

I know this is a weird way of telling you that I'm leaving, but I knew if I did this in person I would break down and cry. I don't know how too tell you this without you getting angry at me or loving me less or leaving me for good. I know you remember what we did the other night, and it was extraordinary. But there's something I need to tell you.-I'm pregnant. I took the test yesterday after school and I didn't know what on earth to do, so I took it several times and they all came back the same-possitive. I love you Eddie, so much, but I'm doing this to protect you, to protect me, and to keep him/her safe. I want you to go to school and to become whatever you want to be, I love you, Eddie. Forever yours.

Eddie began crying and mourning. The fact that his girlfriend, the one who he loved, the one he was going to marry, left him and is pregnant with his child.
He sobbed and sobbed until he read the letter again and again and again.
There was nothing! No sign as to where she could of gone. But he wasn't gonna stop there, he was determined to find her, and bring her and his future baby home.
