Chapter 24:Zeref

"Z-Zeref!?"you exclaimed in pure shock making him chuckle once again."Hello,Y/N"he greeted as he got closer to you."D-don't come near me!"you yelled,taking a few steps backwards."Don't be so worried,Y/N.My curse can't affect you...your an etherious..."he paused to think.

"Or...you were an etherious until I sealed away your true form inside that human body of your's"he continued as if talking to himself."What do you want from me!?I thought you only wanted to get E.N.D!"you yelled,watching him nervously."I didn't come for only E.N.D,I came for you too...i'm bringing you with me"he reached out for you with his hand and you backed away again.

"I'm not going anywhere!"you yelled."And i'm not letting my strongest etherious roam around...it was bad enough I lost you twice already,i'm not going to lose you a third time"he growled,you looked at him suspiciously."What the hell are you talking about!?The first time I met you was at Tartaros!"you exclaimed.

"I suppose it's about time you knew...even if it was earlier than planned"he mumbled to himself,before you could ask him what he was talking about he spoke again."When I was young,I had written about life and death and when my teachers found out they warned me not to write about it ever again...I was just curious that's all,about why we lived and died"

"The reason I did some research on life and death was because I had a younger brother and sister who had died a few years after their birth.I coudn't understand why it happened so,I decided to do some research...as time passed by,I continued to do my research on life and death and time and time again my teachers would tell me to stop...I simply ignored their warnings and kept on going..."he spoke the words as if he was reliving those very moments,he paused again to smile at you.

"Even more time passed and one day my teacher went into my room to tell me I was expelled from the academy.When I heard that,I closed my eyes for a second and when I opened them again,the teachers...even the students,everyone was dead.I guess the gods were really angry at me,that's why they put this curse on me"he seemed pained to recall those memories but he still kept going.

"The more I loved life,the more I robbed people from it...if I wanted to keep this curse under control,I coudn't think of life the way I wanted to.This curse has also made me immortal,much to my dismay,having to deal with the guilt of taking the lives away from people day by day...but also the privilege of unnumbered days allowing me to do as much research as I wanted...it was a complicated feeling"

"I spent years wandering the labryinth of my thoughts...I wanted to die,so that was when I delved deeper into the dark arts,creating demons that could hopefully end me...what were later known as Zeref's demons.They were once called etherious,because they were beings of pure ether...sadly,none of them could kill me.So,I finally made you and E.N.D...I didn't have the time to give you a name,but I did give E.N.D a name...it stands for Etherious Natsu Dragneel"

"I guess it was mean of me to say that I made you two,since both of you originally had a body of your own.I've kept them so well all this time just for the occasion...the bodies of my younger brother and sister.I managed to complete two of my goals,bring back my dead siblings and create the two strongest etherious out there"

"So...i'm your-"Zeref finished your sentence for you with a nod."Yes,your my younger sister...Natsu was my younger brother.Your last name isn't L/N,it's Dragneel",your eyes grew big when Zeref had confirmed your worst fears."That doesn't explain what you meant by you lost me two times"you hissed making him chuckle.

"I forgot about that,well...the first time I lost you was when you had died,the second was not too long after you were made.I created you in your human form you see,for when you were made I directly locked away your demon form...you were kinda like a back-up plan in case E.N.D coudn't kill me...sorry about that"he laughed.

"Although you and E.N.D had the same amount of power I had put most of my hopes on E.N.D...again,i'm sorry.Anyway,I can tell you want me to get to the point just by the look on your face"he chuckled making a low growl escape your lips."You were running around with Natsu and I had fallen asleep,because when I woke up I only saw Natsu but you were nowhere to be found.I tried looking for you,but it seemed you had vanished"

"That was why i've been wandering around all this time,to find you.My guess is that some people found you and took you in...you were only really young at the time so you probably forgot you last name,so they changed it L/N.Though,it really is Dragneel.Anyway,come with me or stay here...your choice,i'm running late anyway I have people to meet"

He turned around and took a step but stopped,he tilted his head to the side to look at you."Enjoy your life,Y/N.Because no matter what,you will end up with me...i'll be waiting for you...
