Chapter Status: Edited.

The next morning, Tahlia wakens to the sound of something being split in half. Confused, she crawls out of her tent, which she surprisingly did not try to escape from during the night. Most of the boys are awake, doing daily duties, two are cooking, some are making more weapons, but Pan is nowhere to be seen. Tahlia looks to her left and spots Jamie snoring beside her tent.

"Jamie?" she asks quietly.

He sits up slowly, looking at her tiredly.

"Yeah?" he asks before yawning.

"Where's Pan?" she questions.

She crawls out of her tent, sitting beside him.

"I don't know," he yawns again, "I haven't seen him since last night."

"Oh, okay," Tahlia mumbles.

She looks up as one of the boys walks up to her, he hands her a plate with meat on it.

"What's this?" she questions.

"It's from a Colobama," he replies.

A Colobama is a creature that looks similar to a pig, but with larger teeth and a body that can grow to the size of a baby elephant Tahlia had seen the boys catch them when she was younger, but she never killed one. She rounded them up with Max and a boy named Kyle; they would shoot arrows near them and round them into a corner or a circle so the boys could catch them.

"I haven't had this in ages," Tahlia smiles.

"You've had it?" Jamie questions.

"I practically grew up here, remember? And I used to help hunt them," she brags.

"You barely did any hunting."

They turn around and watch as Pan emerges from behind the tent.

"You used to gather them, the boys did the hunting," he corrects.

"Whatever, have you been there the whole time?" Tahlia asks.

"No, just long enough to learn that you lie when you brag," he teases.

Tahlia rolls her eyes, "whatever, what are we doing today?" she asks.

She hands the plate to Jamie, she is not hungry anymore.

"What do you mean?" Pan asks, furrowing his eyebrows together, watching as she walks towards him.

"Well, if you're going to keep me held captive for the rest of eternity you might as well keep me entertained," Tahlia shrugs.

"And if I don't?" he asks.

Tahlia's facial expression turns serious, "I will complain."

"Better not mess with her or she'll complain," Jamie teases, stopping beside Tahlia.

He laughs a little before Tahlia stomps her foot roughly on top of his, Pan smirks as she elbows him and he drops to the floor.

"Well, you still know how to fight with your body," Pan comments. "But let's see how much you remember with swords, Jamie, get up."

Jamie stands up, shooting an annoyed glare at Tahlia before looking at Pan.

"Train her, but don't go near the Indian's camp," he instructs.

"Why?" Jamie questions.

"Don't question it, just take her to the waterfall," Pan dismisses them. Tahlia does not hear him mumble, "I have some business to take care off," as he walks away.
