"Hey Eden! What are you doing here? Do you know where Thorgan is by chance?" I opened the door to see Eden, the older brother of my boyfriend, Thorgan Hazard.
That's right! I've been dating Thorgan for 4 years and tonight was our 4 year anniversary dinner, which also happened to be the same day as my birthday. But so far today, he hasn't even texted me "happy anniversary!" or "happy birthday!", which made me a little sad and angry at the same time.
"Uhh, Thorgan sent me to drive you to that favorite Italian restaurant of yours... I forgot the name of it, dang it!" Eden stumbled around his word choice before I smirked.
"You mean Gnocchi's?" I laughed at Eden's forgetfulness, who returned a glare back to me.
"Yeah, that place. Now, let's go!" He dragged me out of the house that I shared with Thorgan. I tried to catch up with Eden as he ran to the car, but wearing high heels + running = disaster. But that wasn't the case, luckily for me.
I opened the passenger door of Eden's super expensive car, to find a handwritten note from Thorgan on the seat. I grabbed the sticky note from the seat before I sat down and started to read the note.
The note read,
"Happy birthday and anniversary to you, my beautiful Y/N. Sorry I wasn't there to celebrate it with you, but I have a perfectly good reason why, but I can't tell you or else I'd ruin the surprise! Eden's there to drive you to Gnocchi's, where you'll find me. I can't wait to see you. Ik hou van je en gelukkige verjaardag! [I love you and happy birthday!]
Xxx, Thorgan."
I started to tear up a little, before Eden handed me a tissue.
"Thanks, Eden." I mumbled, grabbing the tissue from Eden's hand and dabbed my waterline, not wanting to ruin the smokey eye that took me hours to do.
"No problem Y/N, I know that every little romantic thing that Thorgan does for you makes you emotional, but you didn't hear it from me."
"Remind me to scold him once I see him." I mumbled, still some tears coming out, "Hey Eden, can I ask you something?"
Eden nodded, asking me to go on.
"How did you react when Natacha told you that you guys were having Yannis?" I muttered which Eden heard.
"To be honest with you, Y/N, I was a little bit scared and excited at the same time that I was going to be a dad. Why do you-" Eden rambled on before he gasped, "You're pregnant with his baby, aren't you?"
I nodded, shyly smiling as he grinned at me.
"Aww, congrats to you guys! I guarantee you, having kids is a great thing." He parked the car in the parking lot. "Wait here, Thorgan told me that you have to wear this before we can go inside..."
Eden handed me a blindfold, which I reluctantly took from him before I wore it.
I heard the car door slam shut before I heard another car door open and I felt Eden's hand grab my hand.
He lead me out of the car, leading me inside into the restaurant.
Once I got inside, thanks to Eden's help, I yelled out,
"Eden, can I take off the stupid blindfold already!?"
I heard a familiar voice that I fell in love with softly shout, "Hold on, Y/N. I have to get into position..."
"Position? What the heck was he talking about?" I thought in my mind before he interrupted with his voice.
"Eden, take off the blindfold now!" Thorgan gestured at Eden, causing him to take the blindfold off and looking where Thorgan was, I gasped.
"Dang it, I forgot the speech I was going to give! But the gist of it was all about how I love you so much for the past 4 years and everything, but I do remember the words that are really important for this. Y/F/N, will you marry me and be Mrs. Thorgan Hazard?" Thorgan was on one knee, rambling on about how he forgot the speech before I cut him off with a kiss on the lips.
We kissed for a few minutes before I pulled away and nodded.
"Yes. Yes. Yes, of course I'll marry you, Thorgan!" I hugged him. While I was hugging him, I heard applause from behind us. Turning around, I found the Hazard family, my family, the Mönchengladbach boys, and my friends smiling and clapping. He turned me around, slipping the beautiful aquamarine diamond ring onto my left ring finger, giving me a peck on the lips.
"What's this?" I asked Thorgan, pointing towards the crowd.
"It's a surprise birthday/engagement party for us." He smiled before he lead my to the huge table. I sat down next to Thorgan on my left and Eden on my right.
"When are you going to tell him?" Eden whispered in my ear before I replied back.
"I'm going to tell everyone now, actually..."
I stood up, clinking my champagne glass filled with sparkling water to get everyone's attention. They all stared up at me, listening to what I was about to say.
"Thank you all for coming tonight to celebrate our engagement and also my birthday tonight. Thorgan is the most romantic and funniest person that I have ever met in my life. I loved and still do, every special moment that we've had together. But, I have an important announcement that I would like to make...." I looked over at Eden for encouragement before I continued, "Thorgan and I are having a baby together!"
Everyone started to smile again, with our parents also starting tear up and talk about how they're excited to be grandparents.
I sat back down, looking over at Thorgan, who had a big smile on his face.
"Are you actually serious? Are we having a baby Hazard?" Thorgan started to cry tears of joy, while rubbing the ring on my left hand. I nodded before he kissed me for what might be the hundredth time tonight.
"Thank you for giving me the gift of being a dad. I love you so much, Y/N!" Thorgan wiped away the tears before I smiled back.
"I love you too, Thorgan Hazard." I chuckled.
Man, I can't wait for the day that I'll be Mrs. Thorgan Hazard!
