CHAPTER 33 : Home Sweet Home!

As early as 7am in the morning, we are already awake. I asked Robert if I can take my morning walk just outside the hotel. He gave me permission but he said I shouldn't be too exhausted as what the doctor said. He just stayed in the hotel room, he might get mobbed by fans if he is noticed roaming around the area.

I put on my Nike Trainers, dressed up on my hoodie and running shorts. I put on my earphones & started to play the music from my iPhone then I began walking outside the hotel. I started to enjoy the morning sun. It refreshes me. After about 30 minutes of walking, my phone rang and it was Robert. He said that he will be down at the dining area of the hotel in the next 15 minutes. We will have breakfast together.

I decided to walk back to the hotel and to my room. I took a quick shower, changed clothes and went down straight to the dining hall. I saw Robert right away, sipping his coffee and flipping through a magazine. I went to his table and joined him for breakfast

After we finished our breakfast, we went to our hotel room and prepared. Robert rented a car and I just taught him the directions on our way to our house. It was an hour drive and it was a fun! We keep on goofing around and even told me that he will mess with my mom and tell her that I am pregnant and will just look at her reaction. I told him not to do that because she might get heart attack.

Shortly, we were parked outside our house. It was a modest house, not too big. Just right for a family of four. My mom, sister and her kid. Including me, that makes it four. I called my mom on her cellphone and asked her to open the door.

I held Robert's hand and squeezed it softly, then smiled. I can feel he is a bit nervous meeting my family.

"It's going to be okay. Don't worry, I'm here. I love you." – I said to Robert then kissed him on the lips.

"Do you think they will like me?" – Robert asked me

"Of course! Who would not?! You are freakin' Iron Man! Kidding aside, you are a wonderful person. I know that they will love you. " –I assured Robert.

We went down the car and there's my mom at the gate waving at us and smiling. She hugged me like it was forever! Gosh I miss them so much! She looked at Robert who is beside me smiling at her.

"Hi, I'm Robert." –Robert offering his hand to my mom while smiling.

"Oh hi, Mr. Downey! I'm glad to meet you!" – they shook hands while smiling. I can feel that my mom is a bit shy with Robert.

"Just call me Robert." – said Robert

"Oh, okay! And just call me Phoebe." – my mom then gestured us to come inside the house.

Robert met my only sister and my niece. Then we had a wonderful and delicious lunch together. After finishing lunch, Robert and I sat at the front porch sipping our coffee.

"Oh God! I am so full! The food is great! Your mom is a great cook!" – Robert while caressing his tummy.

"Yeah, you bet! I missed my mom's cooking. There's nothing like home. Makes me want to stay here and not go back to the US anymore!" – I said winking at Robert, waiting for his reaction. I was just teasing him.

Robert frowned and held my hand then whispered: "You know I won't like it, honey. Please don't leave me?" He started kissing my hand and caressing my cheek.

"Of course I won't leave you! You'll stay with me here!" – in reality, I was just joking. I know that Robert's life is in the US and not here. And wherever he goes, I'll be with him, with the love of my life.

The day easily ended and we left my family's house around 5pm. Then we went straight back to the hotel. We rested and at 7pm, Robert met Jon at the hotel. I beg off and told him that I'll just be here and rest. I'll just wait for him.

My phone buzzed and for a second, I can't believe my eyes!

It was Richard, calling! Uh-oh... should I answer?
