I go inside to grab Abel and the keys from my mom, leaving Tinsley on the porch. I know her mind is reeling, she just found out one of our own killed her sister and now she'll have to keep the truth from her brother.
When I come back outside, she's lost in thought and hasn't moved. "Babe?" I say, getting her attention.
She stands and shakes her head, snapping out of it. "Sorry. You ready?"
We walk out to my mom's Cadillac. I strap Abel's car seat into the back and Tinsley slides into the passenger side.
"Hey." I say once I'm in the car. "You ok?"
"No." She answers honestly. "But what can I do about it?"
I don't say a word as I start the car and drive to the house I once shared with Wendy.
The entire ride has been silent and I finally pull into the driveway and turn off the ignition. "Tins, you can't let this eat you up. I promised I'd take care of it. When have I ever gone back on a promise to you?"
"Never." She sighs. "It's just hard knowing the truth."
"Do you wish I hadn't told you?" I ask.
"No." Her response is immediate as she grabs the hand that's resting on my leg. "Total disclosure, remember?"
I smile, thinking back to the conversation we had when I was first patched in. Tinsley made me promise to always tell her the truth when it came to club business. As kids, we had seen too many relationships go south because of the MC and knew honesty was the only way to make sure we'd stay together.
"I can handle it. I promise." She leans over to kiss my cheek and I turn my head in time to catch her lips with mine. "Smooth move, Teller." She smirks.
"You know it, baby." I wink and Tinsley just shakes her head.
We get out of the car and she takes Abel from me once we're inside. "I'll put him down." She says.
The look she gives him is one of unconditional love and in that moment I know my son has found a mother.
While Tinsley's getting Abel settled down for the night, I take a shower and get in bed. About 15 minutes later she walks into the room. "You tired?" She asks.
"Aren't you?" I reply, patting the space beside me.
"Exhausted." She answers. "I'm gonna shower first though."
I send her a suggestive grin. "Need any help?"
She rolls her eyes, staring at my wet hair and bare chest. "Didn't you just take one?"
"Fine." I chuckle. "But hurry." Tinsley sticks her tongue out and heads to the door.
Five minutes later she leans out of the bathroom, holding onto the doorframe. She's wearing nothing but her bra and underwear with one of my solid black flannel shirts over them. She has it buttoned once about level with her hips.
I look her over with hungry eyes then glance at the spot next to me, telling her to get in the bed.
Tinsley skips over and leaps beside me with a giggle. I immediately wrap my arms around her, holding her small body tightly to my own. I kiss her and she reacts instantly, deepening it.
Slowly, I flip us over so that she's on her back and I'm hovering over her. we haven't broken the passionate kiss since it began and I feel her hands on my back, touching the large Sons tattoo which covers the majority of the skin there.
