Ninjago's Tournament

Part 2

Kai and Skylor look up at the speaker as Chen's voice rings out. When he finishes speaking they see jade blade.
"That's mine." Skylor says, and with that she leaps to the balcony the next floor up.
"I don't think so!" Kai shouts and follows her, trying to get past her he pulls her down.
"Hey!" She yelps as she falls, grabbing his hand to stop from falling all the way and hitting the ground. "Help me!" She calls desperately.
So Kai does the only thing he can think of. He launches her up to the top balcony.
"Thanks!" Skylor calls down to him, grabbing the jade blade and then running away across the roof.
Using his free hand, Kai face palms himself before racing off to find another jade blade.
Meanwhile, Jay is just sinking into a bubble bath as Bolobo, elemental master of nature, bursts into Jay's bathroom. "Hey!" He yelps, jumping out of the bath and wrapping a towel around his waist.
"Ugh! It's time to give this room a breath of fresh air. Lightning, meet nature!" Bolobo roars as vines start to spread through the room.
Jay scuttles back, tripping as he tries to get away from the green trundles. Then he's pressed into the corner of the room. Thinking fast, Jay grabs another towel and throws it in Bolobo's face, using the distraction to dash around him and into the main room. Bolobo recovers quickly and pelts after Jay, knocking him to the ground. The two men scuffle on the ground till Bolobo is using his bamboo staff to pin Jay against the floor by the neck.
Jay's eyes flick up as he looks at the ceiling light. Bolobo follows his gaze and they spot the jade blade hidden in the lamp shade. Jay snaps his fingers and the tv slides up, the room filling with sound as it begins to play a Fritz Donagen movie.
Bolobo pauses, his eyes glued to the screen. "Ooh... Fritz Donagen....."
Jay rolls out from under him, getting to his feet as he quietly takes the towel off then tightly twists it. Taking a step closer to Bolobo, Jay raises his arm and the snaps the towel across the back of the nature master's head. Bolobo falls to the ground unconscious and Jay gives a small victory dance before getting the jade blade down.
He's about the race out of the room when he realizes he doesn't have any clothes on. Jay gets dressed and then proceeds to the meeting area.
Cole and Lloyd weren't having very much good luck either. Lloyd is struggling with Ash, the master of smoke, as well as Clouse's sourcery tangling him up. And Cole is weighed down by a stomach ache from eating too much as he fights Griffin, the master of speed.
Leray soon joins the fray.
She looks around at the chaos in the main room that leads to all the bedrooms as well as on the balconies. "Well this is going to take a while." And with that she wraps everyone in vines except for Lloyd and Cole. Leray looks around again. "Or not."
Cole gets to his feet, his hands on his stomach. "Thanks Leray."
"You're welcome, now get your jade blades and lets get out of here." She replies.
"Right." Lloyd says as he turns to Ash. "I'll be taking that." And with that he takes the jade blade from him.
Cole turns to Griffin, and laughs at the speed master's shocked face but nearly ends up puking. So he just takes the jade blade and waddles away. Leray gets her blade from the master of poison then the three leave and rendezvous with Jay at the meeting place. Once there, Leray makes the vines let go of the other contestants.
As time ticks by the contestants come in with their jade blades until there is just one blade left and two contestants fighting over it. Kai and Karlof.
"What's taking him so long...." Jay paces nervously.
"We can't be split up this soon." Lloyd sighs.
"Patients." Garmadon reminds them.
Then there are foot steps coming down the hallway. Everyone turns and looks at the figure that approaches.
He stops in the doorway and raises his jade blade above his head. "Ha! I win! Karlof has the jade blade!"
But he's too busy gloating to realize the red and black gloved hand holding a screwdriver, sneak up and loosen one of the bolts in his metal glove. The metal drops to the floor with a clang and Kai wastes no time in darting forward and scooping up the fallen jade blade before dashing to his friends.
"Hey!" Karlof splutters, putting his glove back on.
"Looks like you had a screw loose." Kai remarks then looks at Garmadon's disapproving face. "What? I did what i had to do to win."
Before Garmadon can reply Chen gets to his feet. "It seems that we have a looser."
At his words two of Chen's guards step forward and grab Karlof's hands, shoving him toward Chen.
"What ever. Karlof didn't want to be on stinking island anyways." He says to Chen.
Chen puts his hand on a lever as the guards make Karlof stand on one of the cobblestones then step away from him. "Oh really? That's to bad, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay." Then he pulls the lever and Karlof falls through the trapdoor. "Well," Chen carries on cheerily, "now that that's settled. Everyone meet in the mess hall for dinner then it's off to bed, you all have a big day tomorrow!"
All the contestants can only nod their heads, their expressions shocked and worried.

Garmadon, Kai, Jay, Cole, Lloyd, and Leray sit at one of the tables in the mess hall, three on each side.
"You okay Jay?" Leray asks, "you look antsy."
"I got to know what's under the trap door!" Jay explodes in a hushed whisper. "And i want to know what that-" he waves his hands around his face, inferring to the flicker of Blood Bringer that they saw from leray "-was all about!"
Leray sighs and looks at the plates of food on the table. "I'll tell you all later."
Garmadon leans forward. "And I'll tell you that you definitely don't want to know what is under the trap door."
"Why?" Cole asks.
"I feel guilty! These aren't good feelings!" Jay splutters.
"You do?" Kai presses. "Imagine how I feel, it should have been me, not him!"
"Enough." Lloyd puts his hand on the table. "Let my dad speak." Instantly the five ninjas look at Garmadon.
He sighs. "All I can say is that Chen is a mysterious and controlling man. I do not want to know what is under the trap door, so neither should you five."
They go silent, staring at the polished wood table.
After a bit, Leray speaks up, "What if it leads to where he's hiding my brother...?"
Garmadon doesn't reply.
Lloyd gently squeezes her hand. "In that case, we better find out. Because we're not leaving this island without Zane."
Kai nods. "Then tonight we meet in my room and sneak out to search, make sure everyone is asleep and be careful of the guards."
