The next morning, Lauren woke up alone in her bed. It wasn't a shock to her; she expected Camila to leave considering Chris and her were still under the same roof.

She didn't expect what was next. As Lauren yawned and stretched her arms, she took a hard throw to the gut.

"The fuck..." Lauren groaned as she picked up the basketball that had been thrusted to her front.

"Ready?" A raspy voice asked from the door. It was Camila.

"For what?" Lauren groaned and buried her face into her pillows.

"Remember? I'm still waiting for that game," Camila said with a smirk as she approached Lauren.

In times like this, Lauren would have probably punched someone if they asked her to play a basketball game at seven in the morning. But this was Camila, and seeing that Camila was in a completely different mood brought joy to Lauren.

"Fine," Lauren sighed and got up. She rummaged through her drawers and pulled out some basketball shorts along with a worn-out, black v-neck.

Camila had already picked out a basketball outfit from Lauren's clothes and was ready to go.

The two girls headed downstairs and out to the yard where the hoop was.

"First one to 10 wins, each basket is worth 1 point," Camila stated and checked the ball to Lauren.

"Bring it," Lauren replied and began their game.

Lauren was impressed by Camila. She made quick and easy layups that seemed impossible to Lauren. Every shot that Camila took, the net made a swish sound. Lauren never met someone that was at Lauren's level or better, and Camila was the first person to possibly be better than Lauren.

"If I recall," Camila said while breathing heavily and dribbling the ball while standing. "I have 9 points and you have 6."

"And if I recall, you kissed me yesterday, but I'm not bringing that up, am I?" Lauren said with a smirk and Camila dropped the basketball.

"And if I recall you kissed back," Camila responded.

"Well maybe I wanted to kiss you," Lauren said and Camila stepped closer.

"And maybe I want to kiss you right now," Camila nearly whispered. The two girls leaned in, but instead of leaning towards Lauren, Camila hunched down. She picked up the basketball and smoothly dribbled around Lauren to make a clean lay up.

"And that, Jauregui, is how it's done," Camila said with a smirk and winked. She ran back into the house, which was surprising to Lauren since Chris was probably already up. Lauren chased the girl and found Camila in her room.

"Can I shower?" Camila asked as she already began stripping out of Lauren's clothes. "I don't want to go home sweaty."

Lauren's eyed widened while she simply nodded. No matter how many times Lauren saw Camila out of clothes, she was always in awe of her beauty.

"Here you go," Camila said and handed Lauren her clothes. Lauren snapped back into reality and gave the younger girl a 'thank you' before she turned around to walk into Lauren's bathroom.

Lauren's body went crazy when her eyes landed on Camila's backside. Camila being in only her underwear and bra, it gave Lauren a perfect view of her perfect butt. Just the sight of her back drove her insane.

Lauren threw herself backwards onto her bed and sighed. She didn't want to catch feelings for Camila. Heck, she doesn't even know if she has feelings for the girl in general. All Lauren knows is that she does not mind Camila's company at all.

Trying to take her mind off of the showering girl, Lauren opened up a radio app.

"We touch, I feel a rush,
we clutch, it isn't much but-"

Next.

"With every kiss and every hug,
you make me, fall in lo-"

Next.

"In my dreams, you're with me-"

"Ugh," Lauren groaned and locked her phone, frustrated by life. The odds weren't in her favor, and apparently the radio wasn't either.

Ten minutes later, Camila came out with her body wrapped by a towel. Lauren had already dug out some clothes for her, so she just threw them at Camila.

"Gee, thanks," Camila said sarcastically and picked up the clothes that bounced off her. She went back to the bathroom to change and came out fully clothed.

"Leggoooo," Camila sang and walked towards Lauren's door. Lauren had changed out of her basketball clothes as well and grabbed her keys from her bed.

"Oh, shit," Camila groaned and cupped her ankle before exiting the door.

"What's wrong?" Lauren asked and knelt down to check her foot out.

"I rolled my ankle while we were playing basketball and in the shower I almost fell," Camila said almost embarassedly. Lauren laughed and got back on her two feet. With no warning, Lauren picked Camila up so that Camila's face was sitting on Lauren's chest.

"Lauren! Put me down!"

"No way, Jose. You're ankle's gonna get worse if you walk," Lauren said and began walking down the stairs. The hallway and stairs echoed with giggles from the two girls.

As Lauren approached the door, she saw Chris sitting on the couch with a bowl of cereal on his lap. He must have gone when the two were upstairs.

Chris heard their laughs loud and clear. When Lauren made eye contact with him, she thought it was going to be the awkwardest thing in the world. Thought.

When Lauren laid her eyes on Chris', he shook his head with a smile and took another spoon full of his cereal. Camila never saw Chris, and that was relieving to Lauren.

Lauren finally place Camila down when she opened her car door. On the way to Camila's house, she had thought about that smile that Chris had. Was it because he approved of them being together? Was it because Lauren managed to cheer her up ever since last night like Chris had asked? Was it because Chris thought that Lauren had 'scored' with Camila? Lauren had no clue, and it was driving her insane.

"And just at the end of the street," Camila said while pointing to the white house. As Lauren approached the house, she noticed the size of it. It was massive.

"Holy shit, are you rich or something?" Lauren joked as she pulled up on the drive way.

"Pretty much," Camila responded seriously. Lauren noticed no cars parked and grew concerned.

"Are your parents home?"

"Nope, they never really are anyways," Camila shrugged and hopped out of the Range Rover. Lauren didn't like the thought of Camila being alone. Not only because of her ankle, but because of what she just went through with Chris. Sure, she was cheerful this morning, but thoughts and memories could take over her at any given moment.

"I'm coming in," Lauren stated and shut her car door. She walked over to Camila and helped her with a reassuring shoulder to get in her house.

When Camila opened the door with her spare key, Lauren admired every feature of the house. For being a rich kid, Camila wasn't bratty or spoiled at all.

"Do you ever get lost in here?" Lauren asked seriously.

"No," Camila laughed. She began hopping carefully to show Lauren the kitchen and some rooms that were downstairs.

Once Lauren got the full tour, she looked up to see the rooms that were surrounded by a railing.

"Wanna go up to my room?"

Lauren smirked, "Sure."
