"SUSPENDED!"
My eyes shot up, I could see Link gape as Ike merely clenched his fist together.
The two of them were both equally beat up. Ike had a black eye, while Link had a bruise on his cheek. They had more scratches and bruises all throughout their body.
The fight broke out quickly, not ending as fast as it started. People gathered around and recorded rather than trying to break it apart.
Me, being the idiotic girl that I am, stood and stared, not doing a single thing.
The coach was hesitant to break up the fight, but eventually, he did.
We were sent to the office, The three of us missing the game. And here we are now.
"Suspended?" Ike echoed.
The principle nodded feverishly. "Yes, Ike. Suspended."
I blinked as I gasped. "And me? Why am I suspended?"
Our principle, Mr. Mewtwo, turned his vision to me. "Because you stood and watched. You didn't even bother to get help."
I felt anger fill me up. "That's why? What about all these other kids who did nothing? Are they all gonna get suspended too?" I snarled.
"No."
"Exactly! I shouldn't even be here. I am innocent!" I growled as I clenched the armrests of the chair.
Mr. Mewtwo sighed. "Zelda, understand this whole fight started because of you."
"Oh really now? I had told Ike to go and sock Link in the face? No, I didn't!" I sneered as this mean, crazy side of me burst out. "Mr. Mewtwo, I do not have any part of this. Unless those other people get some sort of punishment, then I'll be happy to oblige to you." I said as I stood up and headed to the door.
"Zelda! Get back in your chair this instant!"
I turned to him. "No. I was raised that I only show respect and be kind to those who are to me. You clearly have shown no respect for me whatsoever."
I whipped around and left the principle's office, ignoring his shouts and calls for me.
And I left the room feeling like a total badass.
But there was one tiny thing that I forgot...
I failed to realize that my parents had been phone-called. And they weren't the happiest campers when I finally made it home.
"Zelda Anna-Marie Harkinian!" I heard my father's voice roar right as I walked into the house. My heart stopped when I saw both my parents standing there, an intimidating look on their faces.
I laughed sheepishly. "Heyyy, mom, dad. Let me explain--"
"No! There's no need. The principle gave us a phone call and told us exactly what happened." My mother lectured. "I am very disappointed in you, Zelda. I didn't not expect this of you."
I looked down in shame. "I'm sorry."
My father sighed. "I guess that since you already have suspension, there's no need for more punishment."
I blinked away tears, still hurt that my parents didn't even give me the chance to explain myself.
My mother placed a hand on my father shoulder and said something I didn't hear, or didn't care to hear.
My vision began to blur from the tears and I pushed past the two, not wanting to stand there anymore. I ran up the stairs to my room, furiously wiping away the tears.
