Dani Alves

His full name is Daniel Alves da Silva.

Dani was born on May 6, 1983 in Juazeiro, Brazil.

Since August 2012, Alves has been in a relationship with the Brazilian soap actress Thaissa Carvalho.

Prior to dating Carvalho , he was married for three years to Dina Alves, before the pair separated in 2011.

His 4 brothers explained that, at only a six-years old Dani wouldn't stop signing his name all over the walls in the house, as well as his notebooks, claiming that he was practising his
signature for the day he would be known all over the world.

His father, Domingos Alves da Silva explains that when Dani was a child, he was already different from the other kids.

From an early age Dani woke up with his father at 4 a.m. To help him work in the fields of Salitre, a village located 30 km far from Juazeiro.

When he was younger, Alves always found time for his greatest passion: playing football with his friends in the fields. This would soon lead him to achieve his dream of becoming a professional football player, but he was always aware that it would be difficult to accomplish.

On April 27 Dani ate a banana thrown by fans during Barcelona's win at Villareal. A banana was thrown on to the pitch while the Brazilian defender prepared to take a corner. But instead, of letting the accident get to him, Alves calmly picked up the offending fruit, unpeeled it and took a hasty mouthful before carrying on with the game.
After the game he commented "I don't know who threw the banana but I want to thank him. It gave me the energy to put two more crosses in for our goals."

On 2 July 2008, Dani Alves joined FC Barcelona. He left Sevilla in tears and said that he would love to play for Sevilla again. He said that he came to Sevilla as a boy and now is leaving as a man, but later broke down in tears at the press conference.

Before getting into football Alves wanted to be a Formula 1 driver.

Dani promised to dye his hair blonde if Barça recovered from the 2-0 loss against AC Milan.

His contract by Fc Barcelona expires on June 30 and right now he hasn't had contact with the club to talk about his future.

The stated reason for dyeing of Neymar's and Dani Alves' hair is because they wanted to express their love for their country since the yellow color is the official color of the Brazilian football team. Dani and Neymar are known for their wild hairstyles and crazy haircuts.
