Chapter 37

Well, I got some good news ^^...
This wont be the last chapter! I'm in fact going to continue it a bit more because I'm enjoying it.

"Luce..come on!"
"Dont rush me!"

Happy fell asleep, while Lucy was currently scanning Natsu's closet for something to change into, since she's been in a towel all night.
To her surprise, he actually hangs his clothes.
"All you have are vests! I can't just be showing my chest to the world" Lucy sighed in defeat.
"No one is gonna be looking at you, its only me and I've seen your chest a lot of times" he said as he found a plain green T-shirt.
"B-baka!" Lucy grabbed the shirt and a pair of his shorts, then left to his bathroom to change.

She came out, with a tint of pink on her cheeks.
"I look dumb"
Of course Natsu's clothes were large on her, but she had no choice.
"You look fine, now come on! I have to show you something!"
He grabbed her wrist and dragged her along.

"Natsu! Where are we going?"
Natsu was literally running full speed to get across Magnolia.
"W-wait! I'm ti..red" Lucy got out of Natsu's grasp and placed her hands on her knees to regain her breathe.
"No time for that, you have to see it!" Natsu placed Lucy onto his back, and started to run again.

Natsu suddenly stopped.
"Ok, close your eyes" Natsu let her down.
"W-why? Are you going to prank me or something!" Lucy crossed her arms in confusion.
"No! Just come on..trust me"
Lucy sighed as she closed her eyes.
"No peeking!"
Natsu went behind her, placing his hand on her lower back to guide her forward.
"Are you ready?"
Natsu let go of her back and stepped to the side.
"Open"

When Lucy slowly opened her eyes, her heart immediately dropped.

Lucy was looking at 2 graves.
One was her mothers..fully built.
It was crushed in that robot accident, but it was now brand new.
The other grave was smaller.
Lucy slowly approached it, reading the small print.
"Marissa"

Lucy dropped to her knees, bringing her hand to her mouth.
Tears streamed down her face.

"Do you like it?" Natsu approached behind her.
"I was working on making your moms grave since it got crushed..when I went to show you..someone told me you got hurt..then you were sad about that little girl so I just built her one too..." Natsu rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

Lucy remained silent, she managed to let out a few sobs.
"I'll give you a minute-"
Lucy stood up and basically tackled Natsu into a hug.
She cried into his chest, as he wrapped his arms around her for comfort.
"N-natsu.."
"I'm sorry..did I make you sad again?" he asked.
"Not at all" she pulled away from him and wiped her tears away with her hand.
"Then why are you crying?"
"I just..I can't believe you did this for me.." Another tear rolled down her face as she looked at the 2 graves.
"When your moms grave got crushed, you were so sad..you look better when you're happy" he said which made her smile and blush a bit.

She gave him another long hug.
"Thank you Natsu..really..thank you" she looked up at him.
When Natsu locked eyes with her, the stars made it seem like they were dancing in her eyes.
They gleamed so brightly.
"Natsu?"
He snapped out of thought.
"Sorry, if I may ask..what happen to that little girl.. I mean you never told me..its ok if you dont want to though"
Lucy looked down at the cobblestone floor.
"Lets go sit somewhere" she said as she grabbed his wrist and pulled him to a grassy area.

They sat under a tree, Lucy prepared herself for the story.
She told him about how Marissa was lost in the snow, and she promised to get her back to her parents..also how the horse carriage came around the corner and lost control..hitting them.

Lucy held back her tears.
Natsu didnt know what to say, so he stayed silent.
"Sometimes I wonder..what if I was in Marissa's spot instead.."
"Dont think like that!" Natsu blurted.
Lucy quickly looked up at him.

"Luce, you couldn't stop what happened from happening..I really can't think about losing you either..so please don't think about that"
She nodded and smiled to herself.
The way Natsu spoke..it was different.
It made her feel warm inside, and her stomach did flips.
'No, I shouldn't be feeling this!' She thought as her cheeks warmed up.
"Luce, your face is red..do you have a fever?" Natsu leaned over to feel her head but leaned too much and fell on top of her.
Luckily for them, they were near a hill.
They rolled down it, laughing until they were at the bottom.
They got up, and Lucy looked up at the sky.

"Luce.."
Lucy focused her attention on Natsu now.
He stood in front of her awfully close.
"Lately, I've been feeling weird around you"
"Eh?" She looked at him in concern.
"I mean, I thought you were getting me sick..but Mira told me it was because I was In Love or something" he rubbed the back of his neck nervously again.
When the word 'Love' came out of his mouth, her face got hot again.
"W-why are you telling me this?" She nervously asked.
"I dont really know..I mean stripper and Iron face seem to be in love..When you're around me, I feel weird..Luce am I in love with you?"

Lucy's heart was racing, he was standing so close..she was sure he could hear her heart beating.
"I don't know..are you?" Lucy's blush was now full on red, Erza's hair color would be jealous.
"It's not a bad thought, the other idiots seem to enjoy it..I'm always around you, I can tell you anything" Natsu's cheeks were just slightly pink.
"Well..what are you trying to say" Lucy got the courage to look him straight in the eyes.
"Lucy, you are being very dense" he said which made her gasp.
"You're the dense one idiot!"
"Am not!" He crossed his arms as she chuckled.
"I'm just saying..I might be in love with a certain blonde.."
Lucy was shocked, but kind of saw it coming..I mean they sleep in the same bed..They're best friends and she can't really say he's not attractive.
"Certain blonde..hmm" she placed her index finger to her chin.
She knew he meant her..but decided to tease him.
"Blonde?..Sting? You like Sting?!..I'm going to tell him!" She laughed as his eyes widened.
"Gross!" He yelled, as Lucy was dying of laughter.
When she stopped laughing, they got back to seriousness.

"Natsu..do you really think you're in love with this blonde?" She asked cautiously.
He thought for a bit.
"Yea, I mean I can be an idiot sometimes-"
"All the time" she interrupted.
"..But Luce..you accept me and you learned to just support me when I'm reckless..I don't really know what love means but I want you to show me" he brought his hand up and moved a piece of hair behind her ear.
Lucy smiled as he came closer.
"Lucy Heartfilia, I think.. I love you"

He leaned in and closed the gap between them.
Lucy felt his lips being pressed against hers.
'Natsu..my best friend..is kissing me' she thought.
Surprisingly, his rough lips felt nice on hers. She softened up and kissed him again.
She placed her hand onto the side of his face, until they seperated.
"Who would of known..Natsu Dragneel of all people..could be romantic" she teased.
He wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Natsu"
"Hmm?"
"I love..you" she whispered.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" He said smirking.
"You heard me!"
"No I didnt, repeat it?"
"You idiot!" She went to slap his arm, but he grabbed her hand.
"I guess I'm your idiot now"
Natsu grinned as Lucy blushed once more.
Lucy leaned up and placed her lips onto his.

They stopped when a flash appeared.
"What was that" Lucy asked.
"Oh crap, they're onto us! Go troops! Retreat!" Mira screamed as all the girls ran out from behind a bush.
Juvia tripped over a lump in the grass, and fell onto the ground.
"Mira! Go on without me! Tell Gray-sama I love him!"
"I'm not leaving you!" Mira helped her up and ran.

"That was weird" Natsu said as Lucy nodded.
They walked home, hand an hand.
Once they got to Natsu's house, Lucy yawned.
"Lets sleep" she said.
They laid down together, Natsu wrapped his muscular arms around her waist.
"Luce, does this mean were together now?"
"I guess.."
Natsu gripped tighter and pulled her closer.
He planted a soft kiss onto her lips.
Lucy giggled.

"What?" He asked.
"Marissa told me I'd find my 'Prince'"
"Well..that's ridiculous" he said as Lucy gave him a questionable look.

"Why try to find a prince, when you can have a dragon"

OMG LMAO I'M SORRY IF I RUINED THE NALU SCENE. I THINK I DID....BUT MY FANFIC DOESNT END HERE SO DONT WORRY MY LOVES..I HOPE YOU LIKED IT I'M SORRY IF YOU HATED IT.
