Ariel's POV:

"Thank you Alpha I really appreciate you guys taking me in considering all that's happened with me and Cole."

"Anything for you Ariel, the luna and I see you as our daughter already. If there's anything you need, just ask. Anyways, this is your room I made sure that Cole will not bother you, remember if you want anything just come and ask."

He left me alone in my room, which was beautiful. It had it's own bathroom and a walk in closet. The room was painted a sky blue and there was a king sized bed. There was a balcony that had a forest view it was just perfect. There was also a chair out on the balcony. I'm so thankful that they took me in.

I sat down just staring into the woods. I was thinking about everything, about Bruce and Nick, about Cole, and about how the alpha and luna let me in with open arms. This is a start of a better life I know it. As I was sitting there, someone knocked on my door.

I opened it expecting it to be Cole, but it was surprisingly it was Jared.

"Oh hi Jared, you can come in if you want." I said trying to keep it less awkward

"It's ok, I just came here to tell you that alpha said you start school again tomorrow, but that's if you're ready."

"Oh, um thanks, I guess I will there's no avoiding it."

"Ok. Ariel you don't have to go if you don't want to. I understand f you aren't ready, and I want you to know that'm here. I also want to apologize to you..."

"Jared, you have nothing to apologize for, you weren't one of the people that abused me and I thank you for not stooping to that level."

"No Ariel, I do need to apologize so what, I didn't hurt you, but I still let it happen. I know I'm not your mate or alpha to be, but I am soon to be beta and I just stood there and let everyone abuse you. I should've at least help you but I just watched, will you forgive me."

"Jared of course I forgive you. I just want you to know that I'm thankful that you apologized, but honestly you truly aren't the villian here, yes you stood there and didn't help, but you didn't bully me either, and you did help me so thank you and I accept your apology."

"Thank you so much Ariel and I want you to know I'm here for you, so is my mate Claire, you have to meet her some day. Anyways, I have to go see you at school tomorrow if you're still going."

With that, he left. I never expected him to apologize, but it felt good. Then it hit me, was I really ready to go back to school. I haven't gone since the day Cole found me, and I don't know if I'm ready to face everyone.

"Ariel, I think you're ready to go, remeber I'll be here for you and trust me I won't leave you ever again" said my wolf

"Ok, thank you I love you so much, and I think I am ready"

"I know you are Ariel."

I know I am ready too. I was going outside to find the alpha and tell him that I planned on going back tomorrow. Walking out of my room, I bumped into, you can guess it, Cole. I rolled my eyes and walked around him, but before I could fully get away he grabbed my arm.

"Ariel can I please talk to you?"

"Not now Cole, what I would prefer is you staying away from me for a while."

"Please Ariel I really need to talk to you."

"No Cole I have to go just leave me alone."

"Ariel please I-"

Before he could finish his sentence, alarms rang, Cole's expression changed to worry.

"What's going on Cole?"

"Ariel go to you're room and lock you're door. Do not open it for anyone not even me. Only open it when you hear the alarms sounding that it's over. Someone is attacking I have to go."

" Ok Cole, but please promise you will be careful. I'm still furiuosly mad at you beyond belief but I still want you to be careful."

"I will Ariel but hurry up and go to you're room. Remember don't open the door."

He rushed me into my room and ran down, most likely outside. I quickly locked the door and looked out the window, it was already a bloodbath. Hopefully it was the other side that was injured. I couldn't fond Cole anywhere and it was freaking me out. I'm still not forgiving him, I'm far from doing that, but I still care even if I shouldn't. He doesn't deserve to die. Out of nowhere, the wolves starting retreating back into the woods, and there was a long mournful howl, but it wasn't from the opposing wolves, it was from our pack.

That could only mean one thing, someone died, and I don't know who.
