Fumble

YN P.O.V.

I walked down the hallway careful not to step on any of the glass that I had shattered from family pictures that once hung on the wall.

"FINE, I'M DONE YN! FUCK YOU!" Diggy's words replayed in my head over and over again.

YN-*Sniffle*

I heard tiny little feet patter against the hardwood floor until a voice followed the footsteps.

Carter-...mommy? Your four year old son spoke softly.

YN-*Sniffle* Y-yeah baby? I asked with my back still facing him.

Carter-I'm scared.

Carter was downstairs as Diggy and I fought. I know that's TERRIBLE but I can't take it back at this point.

I turned around and faced carter as he held his teddy bear tightly in his arms.

YN-*Wipe your tears* Baby it's okay...you have nothing to be scared about. Okay?

Carter-Why did daddy yell at you? *Rubs his eyes and starts to walk closer to you*

Diggy walked out of your bedroom with his suitcase but quickly threw it down and reached for carter.

Diggy-*Quickly picks Carter up* Watch out for the glass on the floor man.

Carter just stared at his dad with a blank expression.

Carter-I want my mommy. He practically whispered.

Diggy-*Kisses Carter's forehead*

I walked closer to Diggy and took my son from him.

Carter laid his head on my shoulder and continued to stare at Diggy.

Diggy-*Sniffles* I love you Carter.

Carter-I love you too daddy. He murmured sadly.

Diggy-*Clenches his jaw* YN...

YN-What? *Sniffle and put your head down*

Diggy-Whatever you do...please let me continue to see my son.

YN-Diggy you need to go.

Diggy stepped a little closer to you and kissed your forehead gently and brushed his thumb across your cheek.

Diggy-*Sniffles* Alright, bye. *Kisses Carters forehead*

Carter-Don't forget beary daddy! *Holds out his teddy bear*

Diggy-*Chuckles lightly* *Kisses Carters Teddy bear* Bye man.

Carter-*Waves goodbye to diggy* Bye daddy.

Diggy walked down the steps of your house and out of the front door.

YN-*Sniffle*

In my head I was thinking about how to explain to my son that his dad cheated on me. This was so complicated. I can't believe Diggy fumbled my heart.

Carter-*Presses his teddy bear against your cheek* Beary just gave you a kiss mommy.

YN-*Giggle and kiss Carters cheek* I love you baby.

Carter-*Giggles* I love you too.
