"THREE! TWO! ONE! GO!" You hear the whistle blow, and the two players on the platform started punching each other. The screaming crowds cheer on who they want to win, the thousands of people who came to watch and participate. "AND THE WINNER FOR THIS ROUND OF SUMOTORI IS JEROMEASF!" You hear the announcer scream into his microphone. The winner offered a hand to his defeated opponent, and pulled him off the soft floor of the arena. "And next up we have. . .<y/n>!" Hesitantly, you step onto the platform. Jerome was already ready, looking at you with a confident smile. Why did I even agree to do this? you think to yourself. All because your friend Mitch dared you. "Oh, my friend might be there! He's really good!" You had wanted to meet this "friend". . . "THREE!" The announcer's booming voice snapped you out of your thoughts. "TWO! ONE!" You raise your fists, and see the announcer bring the whistle to his lips. The loud screech signaled the start of the match, and your opponent instantly went on the offensive. You ducked and dodged his movements, amazed you weren't out already. You wince as you feel his hand slam into your shoulder, and you stagger backwards, almost falling off. Jerome advanced with a casual grin, and you realized he hasn't even broken a sweat. He moved to push you off, but you suddenly dropped and swung your leg, tripping him and causing him to fall off the platform. "DAT MOVE DOE! AND THE WINNER OF THIS ROUND IS <y/n>!" Jerome sat up, holding his face. "Sorry! I didn't mean for you to get hurt!" you exclaim, quickly jumping down to help Jerome. Looks like he broke his nose hitting the floor face-first. "It's fine. GG!" Jerome manges thickly. With the crowd screaming behind you, you carefully help Jerome up and lead him gently out of the room to the infirmary down the hall. Once there, the nurse instantly bustled around him, setting his nose and giving him tissues. "You're good at Sumotori." Jerome encourages when the nurse leaves to tend to someone else. You smile a little. "No, I was just lucky. I wasn't even going to come untill my friend dared me to." "Ah." A moment of silence. "So, um, maybe could you help drive me home? I might not be able to focus on the road with my nose like this." You winced slightly. "Sorry again." "No, it's fine! Everyone gets hurt one point or another." You stand up and search through your purse quickly, pulling out your car keys. Helping Jerome outside, you slide into your car seat and start the engine. Jerome looks down at his phone and pouted his lips, fingers moving quickly over the screen. He's really cute when he pouts like that...wait what?! Did I just think that he was cute? He shuts his phone and looks up at you. "Are you okay? Your face is all red." Oh crap. "N-no, nothing! I'm fine." Jerome leans back in the seat, as you pull out of the area and go onto the road. "I was just texting my friend to let him know I'm heading home." You nod, not trusting yourself to look at him. "Okay." Jerome thoughtfully rubbed his head. "So, um, are you doing anything else today?" You shrugged. "Not really. I only have to go to a party my friend is dragging me to later tonight." "Oh cool! I only have a party later today but otherwise I'm free also. Maybe we could hang out together?" You smile, hoping you didn't sound too eager. "Sure." You pulled up into Jerome's driveway. Jerome waved you over. "Why don't you stay here for now? It's a long way back to your house, right?" You shrugged. "Why not?"

~After a lovely afternoon with you and Jerome~

You rush to pick up your purse, as the doorbell rang multiple times, the chimes overlapping each other. "I'm coming, Mitch! Jeeze!" You fling open the door, and as you expected, the cheeky Benja laughed. "Can I drive?" You shrug. "I don't care." You tossed him your keys, and he misses on purpose. "Oops!" You sigh and pick up the keys, before sliding into the side seat and inserting the key. Mitch climbed into the driver's seat, and started the engine, carefully backed out of the driveway. Mitch was never cocky with his driving. Honestly, the drive wasn't even that far, but meh. He pulled up a block from the house, for cars were parked up and down the street. Music blasted loudly, even from such a distance. It was the only house still lit up, with lights of every color. "Adam (SkyDoesMinecraft) really overdid it this year, didn't he?" Mitch says dryly. You shrug. "I guess?" Opening the door to the house, the strong smell of achohol and food hit both of you. Sky walked over, smiling. "Hey! Mitch! Who's your friend?" Mitch quickly introduced you to Sky, and everyone stepped inside. The music was deafening, and people were strewn all over the room. Sky clapped his hands, shouting over the music: "Okay guys! Let's play some games!" You looked around, seeing that most people had gathered except the people who were drunk and passed out already. Mitch shook your shoulder. "I want you to meet my friend that I was talking about earlier." He shouted into your ear, before grabbing your hand and dragging you to the formed group. Luckily, Sky chose that moment to turn down the music. Feeling better that your head wasn't about to explode, you suddenly collided with someone. "Oh! Sorry..." You looked up (or down, depending on how tall you are), and to your surprise saw that Jerome was apologizing too. Apparently you've already lost Mitch in this mess of a party. Great. "Hey, fancy seeing you here." Jerome joked, as Sky decided on a game. "I know, right?" Jerome pulled you away from the big group, and into a different room. "Listen, I wanted to tell you this earlier today but—" "JEROME! WE NEED YOU IN HERE!" He paused, before shaking his head. "Tell you later." He walked back into the main room, leaving you wondering what he possibly would have asked. You also returned to the main room to see that a person in an astronaut suit was spinning a glass bottle. You inwardly laughed at Sky's high-school game choice. It landed on a tall man wearing a pair of black-and-green headphones, hair messily tossed over his left eye. "Oooh! HASHTAG TRULOX!" You inconspicuously lean agasint the doorframe, watching the silly game continue. So many people were sitting so close together it took a few minutes to determine who the bottle was pointing at. You yawned, wondering what Mitch was up to. "...think <y/n> is it!" You looked up at the sound of your name, and you shrugged. "I wasn't really playing..." Sky pushed you into the group. "Doesn't matter!" Looking up, your eyes met those black ones that you've grown to like over the short time you've known each other. "You may now kiss the bride!" Sky joked, pushing you two together. You felt your lips connect, and that moment you felt so happy, like floating away. Jerome pulled away, ending that moment of awkwardness when there was silence after you broke apart. "Well, it looks like you've introduced yourself to each other." A somewhat intoxicated Mitch smirked at you two in the doorway, slipping his phone into his pocket. "I WILL KILL YOU, MITCH!" Jerome yelled playfully, giving chase. Of course, since Jerome was still sober, he easily caught up to Mitch and pounced on him. Sky pulled them off each other, laughing. "Way to make a great Merome moment!" Jerome shrugged. "I told you, that's a stupid ship. Nobody ships that." You loosely lean back agasint your doorframe, wondering why he was being so defensive. "Let's play truth or dare now." The man wearing headphones suggested. "That's a great idea, Ty!" Sky agreed, before everyone settled down. "Since you suggested it, why don't you start? Truth or dare?" The astronaut asked. "Ty" shrugged. "Startin' it off with a dare, then!" Sky giggled. "I dare you to post on Twitter that #Trulox is real!" Ty shrugged. "If Jason agrees." Jason smirked. "Why not?" Sky moved on as Deadlox was typing. "Jerome's turn! Truth or dare?" Jerome smirked. "Dare. All about that daredevil life!" Sky looked over at you. "I dare you to play Seven minutes in heaven with <y/n>!" Jerome shrugged like he couldn't care less. Sky open the closet door and shoved you two inside. "Have fun!" He shut the door. The darkness and sudden muffled sounds outside was a nice change. "So..." you heard Jerome start. It was pitch black, and it really wasn't a big space. "You wanted to tell me something earlier." you stated, still curious to what he wanted to say. "Oh. That." He sounded so nervous. "I know we've only known each other for a little bit...but I wanted to say, um, that even with such short time I knew I really liked you the moment I saw you." You felt taken back. "Sorry. Am I being creepy?" You shook your head before you remembered he couldn't see you. "Actually...I was thinking of similar lines." You could almost feel him smile. "When I saw you on that ring, in the Sumotori arena, the first thing I wanted was to not have to hurt you. You looked so fragile, and I completely underestimated you." You let out a small, short laugh. "I told you, it was luck." Jerome continued as if he didn't hear what you said. "When we spent that afternoon together, all I could notice was how you spoke so intelligently, acted so natural, and of course, how beautiful you were." You felt yourself blush at the final comment. "It was the best afternoon I'd ever spent." You could hear his slightly ragged breathing, and you moved just a little closer to him. Strong arms wrapped around your waist, as he leaned in for the best kiss you ever had.
