You were on your computer, headphones in to block all noises from the outside world and clicked on the newest game you had gotten on your steam profile. Five Nights at Freddy’s. This was a new horror game that had increasingly gotten popular which probably has scared thousands of people who even dared to play. Out of your little group of friends, you are the only one who has yet to play the game.
You gulp as you see the loading screen, and the only giving you chills down your spine. As you click on new game, the screen goes blank for a moment but then in a blink of an eye, you screen changes to the setting of a security office. It’s dark out so you assume that you are doing the nights shift. After hearing the tales of the game from your friends, you have a basic idea of what to do. Basically, you are sitting in the office, looking at the animatronics of Freddy’s Fazbear Pizza. You have learnt the names of them and how frequently they decide to come out.
At number one it’s Bonnie, a purple rabbit who is guaranteed to be the first one you see outside the office. Then there is Chica, a yellow chicken who tends to stay more to the right side of the door than the left. Then there is Freddy of course, but he only comes out at the later nights (you knew you wouldn’t be able to make it that far so you weren’t too concerned about him) There is supposed to be a golden Freddy too, but you only see him in your actual office once before carrying on with looking at the cameras. Finally, there is Foxy who lives at Pirate Cove which you will need to check on, because if you don’t then he comes out and gets you.
As you look around the small office, you hear the phone ring. You tried clicking on the phone to answer it but to no avail, it didn’t do anything. You decided to leave it and carry on looking at the cameras. After a while, the phone stops ringing and a voice comes through:
(For all those who have seen/watched Five night’s at Freddy’s this is just the phone call and we all know how long that takes, so you can just skip this ^^. If you have never heard or seen FNAF, then please read ahead)
“Hello. Helloo. ehh I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled down on your first night. Uhm I actually worked at that office before you. I am finishing up my last week now as of matter of fact so I know it can be overwhelming but I am here to tell you that there is nothing to worry about. You'll do fine.”
“So let’s just focus on getting you through the first night. Okay let’s see uhm first there is a introductory reading for the company that I am supposed to read. It’s kinda a legal thing you know. Uhm welcome to Freddy fazz bear's pizza, a magical place for kids and grown ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life, Frazzbear's entertainment are not responsible for damage, property, or person on discovering of damage or death has occurred. A missing person report will be made within 90 days and the death of a person will be cleaned with bleach and the carpets will be cleaned blah blah blah. “
“Now that might sound bad I know but there is nothing to worry about. The animatronic puppets become quirky at night but do I blame them? No! If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for 20 years and never got a bath I'd probably would be irritable at night to. So remember these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and show them a little respect right? “
“Ok so just be aware that the characters tend to wander a bit. Uhm they have some sort of free roaming mode at night uhm, something about their servers locking up or they get turned off for too long. Uhm they used to be allowed to walk around during the day to but then there was the bite of 1987. Yeah its amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe ya know. “
“Now concerning the only real safety during the night watch if any is the fact that these characters if they happen to see you after hours probably won’t recognize you as a person. They'll most likely see you as a metal indo skeleton without its costume on. Now since that is against the rules of Freddy's Frazzbears pizza they'll probably forcefully stuff you inside a freddy Frazzbear suit. Uhm well that wouldn't be so bad if the suit themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices especially around the facial area. So you can imagine having your head being pressed inside those would cause a bit of discomfort and death.”
“The only parts that will see the light of day will be your eyeballs and teeth that will pop out of the mask. Yeah they don't tell you these things when you sign up but hey see you first thing tomorrow. Uhm check those cameras and remember to close those doors only if they are absolutely necessary. Got to conserve power. Alright good night.”
You feel chills run down your spine at the phone call and decide to look at the clock.
3AM! That guy was talking for 3 hours?! You thought. You shake your head and open up the camera’s only to find that the bunny was missing. Even though, a lot of people had said how easy night 1 is, you couldn’t help but a feel a flash of panic settle in you. You start checking all the rooms only to find that he was just in the main ‘dining room’ kind of thing. You sigh out of relief and turn off the camera in order to save battery.
The silence was excruciating and after only a few minutes of silence, you check the cameras and now the panic is in you. You couldn’t find Bonnie anywhere and it seems like the chicken was gone too. You look in each room to find that the Chicken was in the kitchen whilst the Bunny was nowhere to be found.
As your screen went back into the security office, you checked the lights to see if anyone was there. Unfortunately for you, as soon as you turned to the left, Foxy the Fox decided to appear making his scream the only thing you hear.
You screamed and quickly threw off the headphones from your ears.
“Are you alright?!” someone asked and they quickly rushed into your bedroom. You turned around to find your boyfriend, Mark or as many other people know him as Markiplier. Mark took one look at your face and chuckled. “Let me guess, you were playing Five Nights at Freddy’s?”
You nodded still shaken from the jump scare. You went up to him and hugged him like he was the last thing on Earth. He laughed but carried you into the bedroom of your shared apartment. He put you down making you giggle but after looking outside of your window to find that it was dark, you suddenly get the remembrance of the game and worry goes through you. (I mean c’mon, I would be panicked and wondering if a Bear is going to kill me)
Mark seems to notice this and brings his hand under your chin and making him look at you. He gives you a smile which shows true love and care, making you blush.
“I will protect you from all the bad things (y/n),” he says is his smooth voice, making your (e/c) eyes with his own brown ones. He smirks as he notices your blush only going darker. You both get under the covers and fall asleep, with Mark’s muscle arms around you.
