Chapter Twenty- Chest Pains

        Waking up beside his love, Killian soon found his chest to ache in a way he had never felt before. Tearing his shirt from his body, he noticed his chest had been completely clear. But nonetheless, a pain that he was unable to ignore became completely intolerable. Clutching on the bathroom sink, he gripped it and looked at himself in the mirror as his sclera became red. Looking away from what he found completely terrifying, he made his way into the bedroom and found his eyes to be watering to the point of the appearance of tears.

        "Killian? What's wrong?" She asked as he collapsed onto the floor.

        Shaking his body to make him conscious again, she found herself desperate.

        "Killian! Wake up!" She begged him as she held him on her lap. Quickly, she rose from her sitting position and to the phone.

        Calling an ambulance, she made her way to the lobby and into the ambulance with him. Clutching his hand and refusing to let go, the paramedics looked at his vitals as well as his eyes to find the redness. Emma did not leave her eyes from him. When they arrived at the hospital, Emma was not allowed to be with him. Being forced to be isolated from her love, she lingered in the waiting area. Attempting to place her mind elsewhere, she picked up magazines, looked at her phone, then watched the television. Only to find she was unable to ignore her worry.

        "Mrs. Jones?" A voice called from in the distance.

        "Yes?!" She asked jumping up, following the nurse to a room.

        Looking eagerly into the room, she made her way to him to find an IV placed in his arm. She saw how there were flat objects placed over his eyes and something on his chest.

        "What is wrong with him?" She asked, desperate for an answer.

        "Nothing serious...We are monitoring his heartbeat because it was majorly elevated. His eyes were abnormal, but we believe it to be a busted blood vessel..."

        "That would make sense....He has been pushing himself lately..." She said, clarifying.

        "That's what we expected...well...we are just going to keep him for an hour or so then he is free to go..."

        "Why did he faint?" She asked quickly before the nurse left.

        Turning in response, the nurse looked upon her clipboard before answering.

        "It looks like low blood sugar...but it could also be the busted vessel...we are pumping liquids and meds into him now so he will be just fine...you have no need to worry..."

        Grasping his hand, Emma looked to him.

        "You'll be okay. I love you Killian, you stubborn pirate..."
