Kageyama's POV

Hello, I'm Kageyama Tobio, age 15 and I'm in a fake relationship with my best friend Hinata Shouyo. And today is Valentine's Day.

Its only been a few days of fake dating Hinata and things are basically the same as they were. But like I said, today is Valentine's Day. I had to lie to my mom to give me money so I could buy shit for him because of this stupid fake relationship. I bought him flowers, a card, and some chocolate. Which looks very fucking cheesy right now.

I walk up to Hinata at the crossroads where we meet everyday before school. He looks surprised when he sees the gifts.

"These are for me?" He asks pointing at the flowers.

"Yeah. So is the card and the chocolate." I say blushing as I gave the gifts to him.

"Thank you. You didn't need to do this. I didn't get anything for you." Hinata says smiling down at his presents.

"You didn't need to. I just thought, you know, since we're in a fake relationship, we should at least act like we are in a real one." I explain.

"Yeah. I love them, by the way. Its really cute. If you had a girlfriend she'd be all over you right now." Hinata laughs.

As we walk into school, we hear "aw's" and sometimes "ew's". Suddenly we pass by this group of girls and they all ran up to Hinata at once.

"Shouyo! Oh my! Kageyama got you flowers and chocolate! That's so cute!" One girl says.

"I wish I had a boyfriend! You two are so cute together!" Another girl says.

"You two should kiss!"

"What?" Hinata and I say at the same time.

"Kiss! Kageyama kiss him!" They yell. Both of us blush.

"I'm sorry, we won't kiss in front of a crowd." Hinata says smiling nervously.

"Aw!" The girls whine.

"Sorry, maybe next time." I reply. Hinata and I start walking away.

Hinata's POV

As we were changing back into our normal clothes at the end of practice, Noya and Tanaka pointed out my gifts.

"Did Kageyama give those to you?" Tanaka whispers. I nod.

"Aw, that's so cute! Make sure to give him a big kiss!" Noya whispers with a wink.

"Hinata." I turn around to see Kageyama ready to go. "Let's go."

I grab my things and run out the door with him.

Third Person Omniscient

The two boys walk down the road awkwardly. Throughout the entire day they got hints here and there that they should kiss. Kissing is part of a normal relationship, and they want to make their fake one convincing as possible. But the question is, did they want to kiss?

Once they got to the intersection, they stood there looking at the ground nervously.

"I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day." Kageyama says blushing.

"It was really great. Thank you." Hinata says awkwardly.

Hinata looks up and their eyes meet. They both feel their heads pulling closer to the others. Once they could feel each others breath, the two boys close their eyes and lean in even more. Their lips touch softly.

His lips are warm.

After a few seconds they both gently pull away, looking into each other's eyes.

Suddenly, like a bag of nails, the realization hits them.

They just kissed.

No one was watching. No one forced them. No one was even around. They kissed on their own accord.

"Uh.. I have to go!"

"Me too! I'll see you later, Kageyama!"

The two boys sprinted down their different paths, embarrassed and confused.

Why did they kiss?

Why were their hearts racing?
