Hi everyone,

I thought I'd post this here as well as on my account.

It's been a very long and not specifically happy last eight years for me (which unfortunately is all my glorious teenage years). I don't think I've been consistently happy since I was very little. I've found myself making promises that I couldn't live up to - especially with the Clouds series. I've pushed it back time and time again until I reached a point where I now hate the series. It sounds dramatic, but this tiny fanfiction holds a lot of negative feelings for me - ones I'm ready to let go.

I started the original book during a rough time in my life after losing a sexual assault/violence court case. In my small community (which I am thankfully not in anymore), dealing with the aftermath turned out to be far more painful than the actual events. 

I threw myself into escapism. I didn't sleep for several days and barely ate while I wrote Clouds in something like six days. This was re-watching the entire ATLA series and writing the book at the same time. To reflect that, it's poorly written and the characters are so muddled with my own emotions that they have no clear-cut or consistent development. It's really more of a self-insert, where I could be whoever I wanted alongside childhood favourites.

Either way, I'm reaching a point in my life where I'm ready to let these last few years go - count my loses and move forward instead of being stuck there, still trying to fix it all.

Therefore, Stratus will be discontinued.

I'm incredibly sorry to all those of you who genuinely enjoyed the book and those of you who I made promises too. However, I'm focusing myself on moving forward in a manner that is sustainable.

It's not all bad news, as I'm planning to gradually pick up writing again and even released a couple chapters of a book I'm really proud of. I also plan to write a Legend of Korra fanfiction and have at least the first few chapters of that out during the start of February.
