                He lets out a sigh , moving her hand away as he denies with his head.   " No —  come on , I haven't changed / that / much , do I really look like a vampire ... ? the fangs , they're not real ... I just — use them to scare the bad guys — makes the nights more bearable. " 
            
                he took those fangs out and , to be fair , his pale tone , the look on his eyes made the lie easier to believe , especially in the dark

                 " I trust / you / Vi — not the sniper , not her friends — / you / ... " his remark carried almost a sense of despise for the rest of the enforcers. He can't help but let go of her hands and stand up again only to turn around and look away from her , hands on his hips , what to do now ? He keeps on with the fight ? He leaves the enforcers do their thing because she asked him ? It's not like they can work together , their methods are worlds apart , even if Vi was on the opposite side. 
            
                An enforcer , to his eyes , nothing but the physical representation of the power struggle between two cities. One that has been under the boot of the other for too long , one that closed themselves to the real progress , to make bridges instead of destroy them. This was make him physically uncomfortable , the mere picture of one of them as one of those things that gave him beatings for breakfast , even if he could agree that she has a point. But he gets kicked out of his own thoughts as she says those two words , eyes shut close , before opening them again , turning to her 
               " do what you have to do — just keep up the promise "

"i won't let them do that,  ez ..  neither will cait,  you have to trust us—  i'm doing this to protect people,  because they need me."    in a way,  vi was trying to prove herself in a way she so desperately wanted to,  in a way she never had before;  to show that both sides could work together if they'd only put all their differences aside,  that they were all just..  people.  her shoulders relaxed,  a frown fixing on her features,  and she shifted on her feet,  trying to find something more to say to lighten the situation,  his doubts,  but given their past that was likely impossible.  even with her being an enforcer,  she still didn't want it entirely,  she didn't forgive them for what they've done,  but she felt it was what she had to do.  she wanted him to understand her,  to know that this was only for the safety of everyone else,  that it was a desperate times call for desperate measures situation,  albeit ..  there was no forcing him to understand either.    "i'm sorry .."

                 He runs a hand across his face , he is dizzy , he looks beated up, and he is beaten up , still recovering from his ' night job '. Still with some dry blood under his nose, he hasn't had time to clean away , a black eye , some cuts across his face. Everything hurts , now this , he / needed / to sit down and he does , he sits on the chair in front of her , looking up to her eyes , his eyes express just pain , not physical but something / else / he could not put into words. He nodded with his head as he closed his eyes .   
                  This was hard , he could support her or completely reject this , reject her , turn around, and leave.   Words try to come out , but he filters them , he doesn't want to say something he will regret the next days , months, or even his life wich by his lifestyle , uncontrolled and violent , would not be long enough to regret anything.   He keeps silence , before reaching out and grabbing her hands holding both of them  tight    "Vi — you already made up your mind ... listen I can't — agree with you ... but I can — try to have my faith in you just ... "  his eyes expression changed , he looked so tired ,  and what he was saying would never come out of his mouth for anyone else , always her , the exception in his life.    " at least tell me you won't let them cross the line , Vivi — please "
