One good tip for dieting is to use smaller plates for eating your meals. It is not uncommon for people to fill a plate with food. If you use large plates and put smaller portions on them, you will have a sense of deprivation. By eating off a smaller plate, you can trick your brain.

Give yourself a treat every now and then so you're not going crazy trying to fight temptation. A weekly candy bar or bag of chips is okay, so long as it is very occasional. Find ways to have fun while exercising if you don't like traditional exercise. Take a hike or a bike ride. A lot of things can help you burn fat and not be bored at it. Take the time to do the activities you enjoy a little more often.
