I can't believe it has been one year since I first published "To Love Or Not To Love".
In the past, I have published and unpublished a few stories. I had no hope, and while one story especially received support, I for some reason unpublished it.
I had been reading some Thamizh village stories last year, namely by the author hummingbirdlove (I can't remember her exact username, and she's no longer on wattpad), when I got the idea to write my own.
An idea sparked, and I planned out this story. I had some hope when I first published, and I actually don't remember how long it took for my first reader to find my story. I don't even know who it was since they were a silent reader.
I do remember that I started doing r4r and joined an author support group, which is how my story gained more reads. Over the last year, my story slowly reached 3.9k reads until I accidentally deleted a chapter, which brought it down to 3.6k.
Still, it was more than I initially imagined. To everyone who gave my story a chance, thank you so much! To those who stuck around, you have encouraged me to keep writing.
I try not to let numbers matter. It's hard, but I know that having a few genuine and supportive readers is more than enough.
My story has gone through many changes, but the overall plot is the same. In one year, I have made it to eighteen published chapters. I'm proud of myself for not giving up even when those thoughts still linger. Amidst life, education, and work, I managed to plan, edit, and publish my story.
I hope I can continue writing and that I don't give up. This story means a lot to me, and I have almost reached the halfway point of the story. Uthiyan and Kayal's story won't end until they reach their happily ever after.
Until then,
