〝  but i wasn't thinking of anything ＂ he playfully feigned innocence as he let out a chuckle at hearing chényī's grumble〝  though i do remember your gills being sensitive... ＂

〝  don't lie now dewdrop ＂a pleased smile made its way onto features at seeing chényī eat the slice despite his reply.  zhihao later removed another orange for himself to eat.  the aformentioned slice that rest between his own lips now had its other end once again nudged towards the vidyadhara,  as if silently telling him to eat the other end

@divinekept ｜⠀  their gaze shifts upon his lips,   the piece of orange had caught them off guard and it made him (unwillingly) consume the fruit.   "⠀... i lost my appetite all of a sudden.⠀"   he still swallowed it,   though.

an orange was idly taken out from the basket before being neatly peeled.  zhihao then removed one of the slices and gently pushed the piece of fruit against chényī's lips once he slightly turned his head〝  now i can't eat all this fruit by myself.  it would go to waste if i don't have someone to at least enjoy them with ＂

〝  there you go,  rest now darling ＂ zhihao quietly said once he heard chényī's steady breaths.  it made him relieved to see the vidyadhara finally get some rest,  even if it was only for a brief moment.  he had noticed the faint bags under their eyes for a while now.  perhaps they were working late﹖  the brunette only wished that the other took more proper care of himself

@divinekept ｜⠀  "⠀hm...  okay.⠀"   a small smile,  chenyi rests his eyes closed,  and simply enjoyed the careful ministrations done to his locks.   it made them more sleepy,   and as a few more moments pass he's already fast asleep.

the brunette only chuckled before reaching towards the vidyadhara and made it so chényī's head was resting along zhihao's shoulder〝  you deserve some rest.  i promise to wake you up when i feel you've gotten enough sleep okay﹖ ＂ he spoke in a soft tone while combing his fingers through the other's hair
