Not quite living... not quite dead... I would be more fascinated but alas, you're not the first walking corpse I've seen.

* her hand dropped back to her side and an amused smile formed on her lips. did he think she feared /him/? did he not realise he was one of her subjects, whether she had raised him or not? death was her domain and he was still partially dead, even if he would rather not consider that fact. she could undo his life just as easily as it had been given back. but she would let him have his little fantasies for now. clearly he needed some semblance of control over the situation and who was she to burst his bubble? * If you insist. But I would suggest leaving now. It's nearly midnight and I have things I need to do. Things I'm sure you would rather not bear witness to. Most people have a weak stomach when it comes to grave robbing. * she drifted from where she had been standing over towards on of the grave, crouching down beside it, fingers burying in the dirt. the taste of decay filled her mouth, and the man behind her was near forgotten as the magic flooded her veins *

@ritualfates
            * arthur nearly flinched when the woman touched one of his scars. it had been a long time since anyone had even thought about touching him, and she did it with no worry at all. despite the fact that he had been dead, he was still a damn powerful man and that terrified most of the people that met him. clearly raia wasn’t worried at all, and he didn’t know how to process that. * i am prepared for whatever will come, whenever it does. * he pulled his head away from the woman, taking a step back to ensure she wouldn’t attempt to touch him again. * as for the consequence, well… i’m afraid you’ll have to take it up with my mother. perhaps we should change the subject, yes? i’m growing quite tired of talking about this. * it was quite deadly for those who had gotten even halfway where she had when talking about his mother, so this was good. for him anyway, but maybe for her too. *

* her hand came up for a moment, tracing over a scar on his face. it was more out of simple curiosity than anything, though she had seen more than one scar in her life. but she could feel the magic behind it, pulsing with a fractured beat * Too much grief was involved in her magic. To successfully raise the dead, grief is not something you should feel. You are one step away from breaking, shattering like a glass plate. Emotions must be governed. Sadness, remorse, love.... these feelings make us weak. They make our magic weak, unpredictable. Your mother did what she had to at the time, but she should not have meddled in magic she doesn't understand. There will be a consequence. There always is.
