traveling across europe,   huh?   i'm surprised you're not in bed right now with all that jet-lag.  then again,   some say that jet-lag is a choice.   [ a brief chuckle, ]   i'm okay.   i'm studying for my general surgery qualifying exam.   i'm hoping to be board certified by the end of the year.   the exam is next month:   april 15.   [ her pen crosses out some writing on the blotted sheet of paper.  she feels compelled to speak on something that has been weighing on her mind. ]   i'm realizing i never got to tell that i'm sorry for lashing out at you a few weeks back.   i know you were trying to help,   i just—  i don't always know how to accept it.

@lacrymosas   (....)           trust me, you don't need to worry.   there's no injuries or anything wrong.  i came to see you.  *  he says,  smile growing wide immediately at his own words.  hands are going to rest in the pockets of his trousers, but obviously, he still keeps the secret of the disease close to his chest— only his father knew what was really going on.  *   i went on a business trip with my dad across europe.. we came back yesterday morning.  how you been holding up? 

wasn't expecting to see you here.   [ deniz was hoping she would never have to.   it *is* the hospital after all.    her eyes briefly scan him over to see nothing that immediately stands out to her as concerning,   so her attention returns to the journal she was scribbling in.   even with this momentary glance,   she still understands that not all pain is visibly seen on the exterior. ]   how have you been?   are you well?

                    tried that,  a million times actually.  except i don’t wanna appear like some stalker person.   [   gwen sighs,  shaking her head.   ]   it’s fine,  how about we go to lunch instead?  i’ve been bored,  and everyone’s apparently busy.
