as someone who was apart of the community of affluential “billie fic” writers, i developed close relationships with many of writers, one being ri, who was known for her horns and gasoline series. we only spoke through social media, but every conversation was beautiful and fulfilling, i was also in the unknown when she disappeared from socials and it has now come to my attention that she has passed, this is a hard time for anyone who knew her or read her work, so take care of yourself please and don’t fight. rest in peace, beautiful ri, you will forever be missed.

@uhhidontknowwhoiam Did you hear what happened to her? I’m still trying to process it. It honestly feels unreal. Her books weren’t just stories to me—they were safe spaces. I’d reread them over and over whenever I felt lost, and somehow her words always made things feel a little lighter. She had this way of writing that made you feel seen, like she understood even the things you couldn’t say out loud. She was one of my biggest inspirations. I looked up to her not just as an author, but as someone who poured so much of herself into her work. That’s what made me want to start writing in the first place—to create something that could make others feel the way her stories made me feel. It hurts knowing that she’s gone, but her legacy will always live on through the stories she gave us. Rest in peace, RI. Thank you for everything. You’ll always be remembered, not just as a writer, but as a light for so many of us. ️
