At this point, I think the Marvel Earth-616 comic series and universe need to be rebooted. There are too many shits done by both writers and editors, with some exceptions (like Stan Lee (RIP), Jack Kirby, Al Ewing, Paul Jenkins, Chris Claremont, Kurt Busiek, Brian Michael Bendis, and J Michael Straczynski), and too many inconsistencies, no thanks to lack of collaborations.
Why do you think the Star Wars: Clone Wars comics done by Darkhorse are so consistent with each other and the 2003 Clone Wars micro-series and not Dave Filoni's The Clone Wars?
Because there's collaboration.
Therefore, I think it's high time that Marvel should reboot the Earth-616 and reevaluate.
I admittingly share that kind of thinking with how Hasbro screwed up with the Aligned Continuity, no thanks to the developers of Transformers Prime wanting to do their own thing, and continuity errors & inconsistencies in other aspects. That also needs to be rebooted as well and ensure that everyone is on board and interested.
