I realized something—we meet so many people in our lives. Some stay and bring out the best in us. Some stay only to dim our light and leave us suffering. Some are tricky. And some become our absolute favorites.

Among all these people, I ended up choosing… my dentist. YES, MY DENTIST. Oh god, he’s such a fine man. After Taehyung, he’s the first one who has truly moved me. I still can’t believe it… I… I—

Anyway, on August 2nd, I got into a serious accident. I barely made it out alive. I don’t know if it was a blessing or a curse, but I didn’t break any bones. Still, my left leg—especially my knee—was badly injured. The flesh was smashed and torn from the bone, and I needed 11 stitches. It’s been gonna be a month soon, and I still can’t walk.

The pain has been unbearable. I had to take sleeping pills just to get some rest. Even now, my leg feels heavy and stiff, but I try my best to move it little by little. The doctors said it will take at least 5–6 months to fully recover.

With everything happening, I was overwhelmed. Then yesterday I went to hospital for my leg and I saw my dentist there. He looked at me and said, “Last time I saw you, you were healthy, full of life. Now you look different.” And somehow, I ended up sharing everything with him.

I guess he’s one of those rare people who bring out the best in me again—someone who makes me feel a little lighter, a little better.

Now, even though I still can’t walk, I’m full of energy and hope. I believe I’ll be able to walk like before. Thou, some times it seems impossible because it hurts a lot...like hell. But I am hopeful.

Thank you for listening. I just needed to get this off my chest—it was heavy to hold in. There’s more I want to share with you, but that will be for next time. Please forgive me for being away, and give me another chance to make it up to you all.

@ttaegucii He sounds like a kind person who has some space for you in his heart. I hope there won't be any side effects after that leg heals. We have a phrase that we use in situations like these "You appreciate health after you lose it", but I believe it's going to end well for you, although 6 months sounds like forever. I wish the pain to fade away

I realized you have taken down your books. When are you uploading them back?

I got it and I'm taking it with me. I just want to tell you. You did well. I'm proud of you and you being alive is enough. And I'm sorry that I wouldn't be there for you. I know you are in pain. The healing process will be long. I'll wait for you but not here. You know where you can find me.
