i hate that i’m finding reading to be such a chore recently. it’s one of the few things that actually bring me joy. why doesn’t the universe want me to enjoy sh*t???
@chickfilamamas right! I feel like adulting really does get in the way of being able to have the privilege of enjoying those things but i’m determined to not let it get in the way. but it’s so damn hard man

i just finished ‘are you there god? it’s me, margret’ and i feel inspired. such a beautiful movie i recommend everyone to watch it if they have the chance
i was just thinking about when i came to wattpad in 2013 and the mj community on here was very… well there wasn’t a lot of black or poc centred fanfics and now looking from 2023, most of the mj books are written by black women who have black women as the main protagonist. love to see it, minus the app slowly driving itself into the ground.
and this wasn’t the case just for mj fics, it was wattpad as a whole and now seeing so much diversity and more black centred books makes my heart warm.
