[really,  it all boiled down to the fact that there was a limited number of people in the barrel with whom he could speak as freely.  lenaya,  despite and perhaps because of the circumstances in which they had met,  had quickly wormed her way into that limited list.  (to admit such,  however,  was an idea that jesper would rather not come within a ten-foot radius of.)  when he sees her pull out a hat,   such fondness grows even more evident.]  you,  of all people,  got me something?
